Thuso Mbedu Wore Christian Dior Haute Couture To The 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards
Thuso Mbedu was awarded the Best Female Performance in a new Scripted Series during the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday (March 6).
The South African actress’ promo tour for lThe Underground Railroad’ was completely virtual, so I was delighted to see her have a red carpet moment at a prestigious awards ceremony.
I was also delighted to see her wearing Dior Haute Couture.
The Spirit Awards has always been that event that doesn’t require a big puffy gown, so I love how she had fun with this Fall 2021 Haute Couture tweed peplum bustier, paired with a sleeveless black knit top and tweed trousers.
Thuso looks really young, and I’m sure some stylists would want to lean into that, but she’s 30-years-old, so I thoroughly enjoyed that the direction wasn’t twee, as this was oozing with chic, elegant, grown folks glamour.
A black Lady Dior bag, Dior pumps, and Dior Fine Jewelry by Victoire de Castellane completed her look.
