Versace Celebrates Frieze’s ‘Lonely Arts’

Dua Lipa in Versace - Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

Donatella Versace co-hosted an event, inspired by Frieze’s new Lonely Arts column, with frieze Magazine Editor Andrew Durbin and Frieze’s Eva Langret, to celebrate London’s vibrant arts and culture scene during Frieze Week.

The glamorous event took place at the exclusive new restaurant Toklas.

Dua Lipa is one of Donatella’s faves, so I wasn’t surprised to see the British singer at this event.

I also wasn’t surprised with regards to the ‘80s vibe that is emanating from this look – which includes the brands iconic gold safety pins on the dress, and as neon earrings – as Dua has been playing with a lot of different eras when it comes to her fashion lately.

Leonie Hanne - Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

During the European Film Festival circuit, I did say that I wanted to see something different from Leonie Hanne.

She has great style, but there are only so many tiered gowns a girl can wear.

Looking at her in this Versace Fall 2021 red look, the words “be careful what you wish for” immediately spring to mind.

I love the colour on her, but this doesn’t feel like her look.

I liked this look the first time when it was worn by Eiza González, but on Leonie, the shoe – or in this case the platforms – don’t fit.

Iris Law - Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

Iris Law is fashion’s IT girl, but her style is a little all over the place. Which is fine, as she’s probably yet to find her niche.

This handkerchief spliced two-piece look was probably my least favourite of the night.

Kathryn Newton Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

You weren’t fans of Lucy Hale when she wore this same Versace Fall 2021 La Greca print earlier this week, but considering Kathryn Newton’s look has a tougher edge, does she get a pass?

British model Leomie Anderson was probably the best dressed at this event.

Managing to look both sexy and sophisticated in this Versace suit, it feels like she didn’t get the “get dressed in the dark” memo.

Pixie Lott Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

Pixie Lott can join Leomie on the Best Dressed – from this event – List as her Versace Fall 2021 top and matching skirt felt current, fun and youthful on account of the vibrant La Greca print and structure of the top.

I’m glad the belt wasn’t a consideration here.

Kylie Minogue Versace Celebrates Frieze's 'Lonely Arts'

I don’t dislike this Versace look on Kylie Minogue.  I can’t help but wish she brought her A-game for this event.

But I guess her B-game will have to do.
