If Iman and Amanda Gorman understood the assignment, then Jennifer Lopez did too.

Because at the 2021 Met Gala, on a night celebrating American fashion, you don’t get more American than Ralph Lauren, no?

Did she have to go so hard with accessories – gun holster style belt, hat and choker?

YES.   This is the Met Gala.  Go hard or go home.

Granted I am a JLo fan girl, but in terms of originality, while being on theme, and infusing your signature sexuality, she nailed it.
