Thank God for Instagram, as we get to see the the behind-the-scenes looks we didn’t see during the twelve day festivities.
As you know this was Maria Bakalova’s first Cannes Film Festival, and her stylist Jessica Paster (who is LA-based) enlisted the help of the man behind-the-scenes the King of Cannes Film Festival, and all things celebrity fashion, Mohieb Dahabieh.
His beautiful, and heartwarming tribute to the actress on Instagram read, “Thank you, Jessica Paster, for entrusting your great Maria to me in Cannes last week 🙇🏻 I was truly humbled but now I’m seriously smitten 😻 Beauty, wit, talent, depth, integrity and the list of attributes goes on as long as her list of nominations 🙌🏾👏🏾🤩💫✨.”
What I love most about this Tony Ward Couture look is that both the simplicity of the individual pieces – especially the white shirt as it transcends trends – and the styling which evaluates this look to Cannes status, because what is a Cannes look without some bling?
If I didn’t know better I would say this was a Carolina Herrera look, as a crisp white shirt and black skirt were the iconic designers staples.
