Alicia Keys Wore Valentino & Balmain To The 2021 Billboard Music Awards

Alicia Keys hit the red carpet for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards which was hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (May 23), before her performance at the ceremony.

Her first look was a begonia pink silk faille top, trouser and cape combo especially designed for her by Valentino Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.

I have a lot of questions.

Why doesn’t the top fit? What is going on with all that gaping?

Why are the trousers unflattering?  Did they need to sit higher on the waist to prevent the bunching around the crotch?

Did Alicia attend one fitting at all before hitting the red carpet at all?

For a custom piece this fell flat for me.

Messika jewels completed her look.

For her performance, Alicia changed into a look that screamed Balmain on account of the signature pagoda shoulders alone.

This denim look – which was also a custom look – was styled with a shimmering gold netted Natalia Fedner corset.

On this occasion, this was a custom look which was the perfect fit.

I’m starting to think that this should’ve been her red carpet look.
