Rita Ora Wore Chanel To The Chanel No.5 100th Anniversary Celebration

Rita Ora Wore Chanel To The Chanel No.5 100th Anniversary Celebration

Chanel No.5 – probably the worlds most iconic fragrance – was the first perfume launched by French couturier Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.

The scent formula for the fragrance was compounded by French-Russian chemist and perfumer Ernest Beaux. The design of its bottle has been an important part of the product’s allure.

Rita Ora, who is still in Australia fulfilling her guest judge duties on ‘The Voice’, was out in Sydney celebrating 100 years of the iconic Chanel No.5 perfume on Wednesday (May 5); 100 years to the day of the 5 May 1921 launch.

The perfume has had many faces. Marion Cotillard is the new face of the fragrance. The most iconic ad for me will always be the one featuring Nicole Kidman.

For this event, Rita – who was sporting a darker hairstyle which I think ages her somewhat – was looking very chic wearing a Chanel Spring 2021 boucle look.

The look feels very classic until you notice that the bottom half is a mix of sheer trousers layered with biker shorts.

A selection of Chanel pearl necklaces enhanced the timeless elegance of the look.

I’m choosing to ignore the Chanel bag discarded on the floor.
