The 2021 Grammy Awards Has Been Postponed

The 2021 Grammys has been postponed due to surge in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles.

The event has officially been pushed from its original date of January 31 to March 14.

The Recording Academy said the decision was made following “thoughtful conversations with health experts” due to “the deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles.”

The new date clashes with the Screen Actors Guild Awards, leading some to speculate that another announcement is imminent.

Trevor Noah was due to host the show.

Honestly, I was expecting this, and I’m certain many more rescheduling announcements will follow.

We all want a safe awards season.
