Mindy Kaling Was Romantic In Rodarte

Mindy Kaling was been very active on social media sharing both her positive outlook, and love for brightly coloured clothing that has kept us entertained during lockdown.

Minimalism has never been Mindy’s M.O. as in the past few months she’s given us plaid, snakeskin, ombre sequins and gingham. 

This time we are presented with a look she wants us to fall in love with.

The actress wore her heart on her sleeve, and just about everywhere else, as love hearts covered this unapologetic romantic Rodarte silk-satin dress from the Fall 2020 collection.

I love how the dress is playfully detailed with whimsical hearts and florals that effortlessly accompany the ruffled trims and tulle overlays, yet the most charming accent comes in the form of a rose detail securing the modest V-neckline.

I have a feeling there will be some dealbreakers for some of you.

The overlay?  Right?  Or the rose?

Yes, both kinda take this dress down a prairie, church on Sundays in the 1950s route, but I’m utterly charmed nonetheless.

This is the kind of fashion escapism I need right now.

This would’ve been perfect for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event.
