All we’ve ever wanted for Christmas is a song by Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande, which is due to be released soon.
But in the meantime, Jennifer Hudson was already getting us into the Christmas spirit with her performance on ABCs ‘Magnificent Mile Lights Festival’ where, with no audience present, she gave us an absolutely flawless, goosebump inducing rendition (as per) of ‘Hallelujah.’
It was a cold night in Chicago, and with the performance outside, her stylist team – Wayman and Micah – had the task of dressing her for warmth, style and comfort.
Michael Costello created this custom coat which incorporated faux fur which gave us all the glamour we expect from a diva of her magnitude, which was worn over a black Wolford high-neck dress.
The coat is breath-taking, but what really sells this look is the styling.
God damn the styling is good.
A Gucci hat, Tom Ford tan suede boots, and Handsome Stockholm gloves…I know that I have referenced this before, but Diana Ross in ‘Mahogany’ springs to mind.
If that wasn’t on Wayman and Micah mood board for this look I would be very surprised.
