I’m Back

At the start of the pandemic I was unsure whether to keep posting, but with your encouragement I was delighted to continue.

I have been absent these last – nearly 4 weeks – because; to sub quote Dave Chappelle “Do you want hear about celebrities right now?”

Following the tragic killing of George Floyd, and the powerful Black Lives Matter movement which followed, I’m certain the answer to that question was a definite no.

Speaking of the Black Lives Matter movement, we have seen a lot of fall out.

Lea Michele, Emma Watson, Kristen Bell, Leandra Medine Cohen, and brands such as Celine, Zimmermann and Reformation have been heavily criticised and received heavy backlash; which at one point had me wondering, “who is safe to talk about going forward?”

I follow most of the stylists in Hollywood, who have all support the BLM movement, so I have every confidence that they will not be dressing their clients in problematic brands.

This website has always been a huge part of escapism for me, and after four weeks of binge-watching the news, and educating myself on social issues, I’m going to return to updating from time to time. 

I hope this isn’t as deem insensitive, as this website is the only thing keeping a roof over my head at present.
