Charlize Theron Wore Louis Vuitton To The 2020 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Charlize Theron attended the 22nd Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (January 28).

I was happy…actually ecstatic to see her get into the spirit of the occasion, by ditching her signature style for something with a whole lot more flare.

An LBD just wouldn’t have sufficed on a night celebrating costume designers, so she hit the red carpet wearing a custom gold embellished design by Louis Vuitton.

Charlize Theron in Louis Vuitton? 

Yes, this is a rarity, but she did wear the French fashion house last year at the Elle Women In Hollywood event, the ‘Long Shot’ SXSW premiere and ‘The Fate of the Furious’ Beijing Press Conference.

So how does this one stand up?

Really well in terms of drama, details and unpredictability.

But why those black armbands.  I could’ve lived with the cuffs, but the armbands are really unnecessary.

The matching headband adds a fun, playful element to moment, with a Louis Vuitton Petite Malle black clutch completing the look.
