Cynthia Erivo Wore Richard Quinn To The Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Cynthia Erivo joined a host of stars on the red carpet for the Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on Saturday (January 25) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress is in incredible shape, you’ve only got to take a look at her in action to realise this, so it wasn’t a surprised that one day she will switch from those glorious gowns, to something that showcased a little bit more.

In this case, her legs.

While I’m of the strong belief that Cynthia can do no wrong, there is something about this Richard Quinn Spring 2020 dress that didn’t quite work for me.

Was it a little too twee?

Was the bodice a little too heavy?

Am I missing the bold colours from her makeup?

I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Christian Louboutin platforms and David Webb jewels completed her look.

    Crikey, what’s going on?

Everything looks too big and clunky.

I don’t like how the dress is slanting to one side, even on the runway too? The shoes are from 2011.

    Those horrid hooker heels.

She needs something shorter to show off her legs. The proportions are not working for her because the dress is too long for her. The overlay also adds some bulk to her and should have been scaled down or removed. It’s funny that Cynthia can manage the major gowns that she sometimes wears but is too petite for this little dress.

Too twee and those shoes should be burned.

I think if it had been better fitted around her tiny waist, and if the bodice had been lifted more (I’m assuming the straps made it adjustable), it would’ve looked way better.

As for the rest of the styling, I don’t care for the matchy silver hair, her normal platinum would’ve worked fine. And the shoes, though I can clearly see they’re Loubs (and pricey ones at that) somehow manage to look cheap.

Looks nice on the model, terrible on her.

This should have been left for Skai Jackson or Millie Bobbie Brown.

Please send those shoes back to 2008 where they belong.

Wayyyyy too twee. She looks ridiculous.
    And those shoes are awful.

I don’t like the top or the platforms. The dress is unflattering on Cynthia. This is a no for me.

Too twee and not for her body type either. I think it would look fantastic and age appropriate on Mellie Bobby Brown or Skai Jackson (altthough she might be too tiny for the dress)

Agreed on all counts, I think it would be perfect for Millie.

You put your keyboard on it: platform heels! Yuck. See runway ~ much nicer. IMO. Also, on beauty look, maybe slightly stronger brows could have helped?
