Renée Zellweger, Lovely In Lavender Emilia Wickstead For The ‘Judy’ London Premiere

Renée Zellweger, Lovely In Lavender Emilia Wickstead For The 'Judy' London Premiere

Renée Zellweger was back on the red carpet for the ‘Judy’ European premiere held at The Curzon Mayfair on Monday (September 30) in London.

The first thing I noticed was Renée opting to go off the shoulder again; even on a wet, miserable night in the capital.

Renée wore a lovely lavender dress from Emilia Wickstead’s Spring 2020 collection, crafted with tailored appeal in an ultra feminine fitted silhouette.

I’m glad that the train was shortened, especially considering the weather, and how architectural detail on the bodice makes this piece standout from her previous looks.

Opting out of the gown-and-gloves glamour, Renée simply styled her look with white Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps, and her signature updo.

That color is lovely on her, and the fit is far better than on the model.

I love how effortless she always looks. A true PRO

So much better in the shorter length!

I don’t mind the train. It’s fun if unnecessary. Another lovely outing for Renee. She’s serving very simple, fit-to-perfection dresses with unexpected details. I hope she still has a few more promotional moments!

What a stunning colour on Renee, and I love the expert fit! BD nominee for this week.

The color is so perfect for Renee. She glows. I love the architectural details of the dress. It’s a win.

I’d love to see Duchess Meghan in this.

Omg, that color would sing on her. If only…

    • Guest September 30, 2019 at 11:36 pm #

Yes the color would be great on the Duchess but I think the cut of the dress would not be flattering on her unless she had it expertly tailored and expert tailoring and the Duchess or Sussex are, so far, not a thing.

      If only indeed

I like to live my days with the hope and faith that Duchess Meghan will give us bright colors again someday ??

The train is just dumb. Cut if off and you have a lovely dress.

I too loved this look until I got to the back. The cutout in the back is great but the train should have been shortened to the point of removal IMO. It looks like something to pull her back if she starts to stray.

      a.k.a. A leash…

    • Guest September 30, 2019 at 10:36 pm #

Yes, a leash but, I did not want to use that word.

    • Guest October 1, 2019 at 7:59 am #

Ha, it’s like a fashion Rorschach test, it’s interesting that some people see this shortened train and think leash.

I loved this look, the colour, the fit, the design, until I saw the random piece of fabric at the back. It’s confusing, it’s too short for a train, too narrow for a cape…what is it?
