Front Row @ Christian Dior Spring 2020

Paris Fashion Week is formally in session, and the front row at the Christian Dior Spring 2020 show on Tuesday (September 24) was in full bloom with Dior-clad beauties.
Deepika Padukone: This printed wax cotton bustier Dior Cruise 2020 dress took the bohemian spirit of the batik patterning — matched to her hair scarf — to an all-new interpretation with the darker addition of the skull and cloak for a twist on artsy mystique. A DioRevolution black leather bag and Dior boots added even more edge to the look.
Jennifer Lawrence: All black would not be boring here, with Jennifer wearing a Dior Cruise 2020 black crochet top with a black silk skirt and black leather jacket. I love the free-spirited femininity paired to the tougher edge of leather with the Dior jewelry and Dior shoes offering additional layers of intrigue.

Monica Bellucci: The cloaked effect of this Dior Cruise 2020 black silk dress, styled with a Dior black belt, and Dior sunglasses, immediately embraced a mysterious vibe. With all the fabric, it could have translated as heavy, but Monica handled it in sophisticated form.
Nina Dobrev: The actress also got the all-black memo with this Dior Fall 2019 black shirt with a black leather skirt, Dior belt, black leather clutch and Dior shoes. It had a retro-edgy vibe, but I have a feeling the real beauty in the skirt was up close, where you could more distinctly see the delicate, embossed cutouts throughout.
Natalia Vodianova: Playing with proportion rather than colour, Natalia donned a Dior black wool jacket and super-wide-leg trousers. The wraparound Dior heels added a more sensual element of femininity to the boxier look, so I can understand why she wore them.

Leomie Anderson: Part of me wanted to see this Dior Fall 2019 ensemble sans the embroidered, fringe jacket to really emphasize the schoolgirl-meets-grunge effect.
Julianne Moore: Matching her locks to her look, the actress wore a brick-red Dior Cruise 2020 silk dress. But, it was the impact of the styling that stood out the most with her Dior 30 Montaigne black leather bag and unconventional wedge heels.
Bianca Brandolini: Can you mix big stripes and bold checks? The answer is clearly ‘yes’ for Bianca who walked outside the lines in a Dior Fall 2019 red and black cashmere sweater paired with checkered red and black pants, a mini black leather Lady Dior bag and Dior shoes.

Juno Temple: This was a Dior show, after all, so we would have to expect at least one sheer moment. And, Juno delivered it with a Dior Fall 2019 black cashmere bodysuit with a black tulle, dotted skirt that could have also passed for the slip layer under a dress. Regardless of your reaction to the see-through, the styling that consisted of a denim-look Dior Saddle bag and Dior bow-accented shoes felt out of place.
Angelababy: With a host of strong, edgy looks at this show, the Asian star was the only one to channel a softer side in a traditionally feminine Dior Cruise 2020 embroidered white and red silk and cotton design. I love the Dior mini jean book tote bag, but it didn’t belong anywhere near this dressing gown.
