Marion Cotillard In Chanel Haute Couture – ‘La Belle Epoque’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Marion Cotillard In Chanel Haute Couture - 'La Belle Epoque' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Marion Cotillard attended premiere of ‘La Belle Epoque’ during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 20) in France.

I’ve said time and time again. A contract-free Marion doesn’t play by any fashion rules.

And that was proven with this look from Chanel’s Spring 1999 Haute Couture collection.

This two-piece taffeta look doesn’t check the usual boxes; it’s not embellished, it’s not decked out in feathers, it’s not sheer, and that’s probably why I don’t hate it.

As you know I’ve always been a box checker when comes to red carpet fashion at Cannes, but more and more often, I’ve been seeking a little more.

Especially this year when no one has been nailing it aside from Julianne Moore, Helen Mirren and Elsa Hosk.

The one thing you can say about this look – love it or hate it – is that it’s authentically Marion.

I can picture her wearing this to the Met Gala, to the Cesar Awards, and even to the Oscars.

This will leave you feeling refreshing, or disappointed.

Which side of the fence are you on?

Chopard jewels completed her look.
