‘A Hidden Life’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
We close the ‘A Hidden Life’ Cannes Film Festival premiere, which took place on Sunday (May 19) in France, with a look at the models who graced the red carpet.
Elsa Hosk: Etro have dominated Cannes Film Festival. They have presented more Etro looks here, than they have over the last 12 months. Elsa was an ethereal vision in this custom chiffon gown drenched in rainbow-inspired sorbet shades. This is one of my favourites from the model camp. Those of you born before 1975, or who are fully up-to-date on your fashion history will know that this dress is a homage to Lauren Hutton’s Halston dress from the 1975 Oscars.
Toni Garrn: The models previous look was a bit of a miss, but this custom Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture gown was a hit. Oozing with subtle sex appeal, the look was styled with Messika jewels. Another model favourite.
Josephine Skriver: Cannes is a summer festival, so I’m always looking out for colour. However, I found myself drawn to this Ali Younes Spring 2019 Couture gown due to the craftsmanship and the luxurious fabric. René Caovilla Audrie pumps completed her look when sandals would’ve been preferred.
Alina Baikova: It’s now come to a stage where I see ruffles and I think of Tomo Koizumi, but this gown actually hails from the Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Couture collection. This aqua-blue short dress featuring a floor sweeping train and puffed floral tulle embroidery, is a look that works perfectly at Cannes. I love the matching blue sandals.
The models really nailed day 6.
