The Whitney Museum Of American Art Gala + Studio Party – sponsored by Michael Kors – took place on Tuesday (April 9) in New York City.
Diane Kruger: We’ve seen all manner of suits since they started trending on the red carpet back in 2018, but short suits were few and far between.
Diane Kruger, who’s sartorial style hasn’t ignited your senses since…hmmm…I believe she broke up with Joshua Jackson… was feeling like her old self again in this Michael Kors Collection Fall 2019 look.
The hero piece is clearly the black crystal-embroidered double-crepe-sablé blazer with feather-embroidered sleeves.
I love how the mood is modern and effortless, with Stuart Weitzman sandals and a Michael Kors Collection silver Pearl snakeskin clutch completing the look.
Dare I say? Yay or nay?
Hilary Rhoda: If a dress is saturated in plumes ostrich feathers and sequins, it’s gotta be Pamella Roland.
This lavender and silver mini dress is a fun and festive piece for a gala event.
Keeping the styling simple with metallic silver sandals, did she need a crystal-embellished clutch?
Devon Windsor: This Pamella Roland deep v-neck sequin jumpsuit was a real show-stopper on the Spring 2019 runway.
Had this been a Victoria’s Secret after-party, my feeling is Devon would’ve worn this without the cropped blazer. In this setting the blazer gives the overall look an air of sophistication.
Surprisingly, I don’t mind the black pumps here.
