Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – King’s College London & The Foundling Museum

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker - King's College London

This morning (March 19), Queen Elizabeth and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visited at King’s College London, which was surprisingly only their second dual engagement in seven years. The first was back in 2012.

The royal women were there to tour the recently renovated Bush House, and to meet with academics at the university.

The Queen was looking as splendid as ever in a pink Stewart Parvin look.

Catherine,  in what I feel was a deliberate effect to not outshine the Queen, wore a grey Catherine Walker dress that fused clean lines and a timeless silhouette with a decidedly vintage undertone.

She styled her dress with thick tights, Gianvito Rossi heels, a Mulberry clutch and Lock & Co hat.

Later in the day Catherine paid a solo visit to The Foundling Museum.

On this occasion she opted to forgo the hat she had worn with the Queen.

It’s likely that the hat had been worn as a sign of respect for the Queen,  as Lizzy rarely leaves the palace without one.
