Front Row @ Chanel Spring 2019

Front Row @ Chanel Spring 2019

The front row of the Chanel Spring 2019 presentation, hosted during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (October 2), saw a group of chic Chanel darlings clad in their designer best — amidst the faux tropical beach-inspired surroundings.

Sylvia Hoeks: Like Dree Hemingway, Sylvia has also recently joined the short list of beauties with a buzz cut. And, although I did not recognize her at first, her striking countenance can definitely handle this new look. It also complements the edgy side of her style personality — which is captured in this menswear shirting mixed with the silken pyjama-style pants.

Mia Goth: I like the use of silver-metallic accents in the belt and bag to cut through the more precious mood of this baby-blue tweed frock.

Poppy Delevingne: I know that it was a sandy endeavor, so I can understand the sneakers. But, they still translated as a bit of an odd match with this interpretation of tweed suiting.

Jorja Smith: Sweater dressing took on new meaning with this fresh twist on the look. I love the slouchy yet still chicly fitted proportions, with the rose makeup hues echoing her pink handbag.

Soo Joo Park: Can overalls be both style-forward and sexy? I think this look gives us a resounding ‘yes,’ what with the peek-a-boo effect paired with the sweater coat and visors.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey:
I love the rich rose tones of this classic tweed set, which got the vintage-meets-quirky treatment in the slightly oversized proportions, piles of necklaces, and black tights.
