Abbie Cornish In Alberta Ferretti – ‘Geostorm’ LA Premiere

There has been an abundance of blooms on the red carpet of late and Abbie Cornish continued to champion the look at the ‘Geostorm’ LA premiere on Monday (October 16).

The Australian actress wore a long-sleeved Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2017 gown. The flowing dress was crafted out of a rich blue fabric decorated with a monochromatic brocade and contrasting pink and beige flowers, presenting a moodier take on ethereal floral patterns.

Some might not see the coordinating fabric belt because of the captivating blooms, but not even the print could distract me from the sheer neckline. I was fond of the way it helped balance out the bold design.

What did you think of the outfit?

Not the best fit for her figure. The model looks great.

This looks heavy and a tad frumpy on her.
Thinking of Florence Welch in this dress when looking at the model.

Not my favourite look but I like the print and rich velvet.

This Alberta Ferretti printed velvet gown is a tricky look to pull off, but I think Abbie’s simple styling of slicked- back hair and plum-red lip is what she needs to make sure the outfit takes the center of attention. I don’t LOVE it , but I don’t HATE it either!! Abbie actually wore Alberta Ferretti twice during her Sucker Punch promo tour, so it’s great to see her wear the designer again!! Despite all the nitpicks, she still looks so beautiful, a gorgeous Aussie leading lady indeed!! Long live Abbie Cornish, my long time celeb crush!!

The belt is there. I like this, I don’t love it. I think it would have worked better if it were an inch or so shorter and we could see shoes.

I don’t think it’s flattering on her at all. At least not in this photo.

I see the coordinating fabric belt on Cornish, albeit in blues instead of the gold tones.
