Debra Messing In Romona Keveza – 2017 Emmy Awards

Debra Messing shone at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 17).

Clad in a plum Romona Keveza gown, the dress provided ample shine without a sparkle or a rhinestone.

The one-shoulder strap contrasted the actress’s flame-haired locks on the other side. Although, I would have preferred her mane swept back.

The black belt provided a textural contrast to the sheen of the dress, but I found the orange-toned accessories to be out of place.

Was the fabric choice a yay or a nay?

Ew, I can only join the chorus about the fabric, it’s not working. Also the silhouette is very unflattering. Also, the styling is all over the place, what’s up with all that cheap-looking jewellery?

    Trashbag couture? This is HIDEOUS.

I actually like the modern shine and fabric. Not a best dressed at the event but it’s not too bad. She is wearing too much jewelry like many actresses do.

What even is that material??? Is it a shower curtain??? Absolutely the ugliest material I have ever seen. Her stylist should be fired.

I don’t dislike the fabric, but the styling. This dress needs an updo and, for sure, not those jewelry

This is all kinds of awful

Yikes. Not only is the material awful, but she is drowning in it too.

      I totally agree

    What an awful fabric…

On stage this dress was overwhelming. It looked like she had been coated in acrylic and it was not a good look – there was just way too much of it. Maybe in small amounts this fabric would look cool but absolutely not for an entire ball gown.

The botox overload on her forehead is reeeaaaaallly not doing her any favours.

    The dress ain’t either.

I’m sure this is lined with normal fabric but it still looks insanely uncomfortable.

  12. Maya September 18, 2017 at 3:30 am #

Nope, looks like there’s plastic sheeting over the fabric, almost.

    Big NO

  14. Nat39 September 18, 2017 at 3:28 am #

No, it all looks so heavy-handed.

  15. JHH September 18, 2017 at 3:17 am #

Is that plastic? This is awful.
