2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were a bevy of beauties on the 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday (September 10), joining Alexis Bedel and Angela Bassett.

Kathryn Hahn: The actress smoldered in vintage Valentino from Shrimpton Couture. Crafted out of the designer’s signature shade and finished with ruffled sleeves, this ensemble shows that the comedienne can be a serious fashion player.

Laverne Cox: Never one to shy away from a sexy dress, she disregarded the legs, boobs and bum police with this sultry MikaelD gown. I salute Laverne for managing to find the perfect pose to show off all of the dress’s assets, as well as her own. Further recognition goes for elegantly styling the dress with a gold Edie Parker clutch, dark lipstick and soft updo.

Niecy Nash: Another lady in red, the performer opted for a Regard Style House Private Collection gown. The balloon sleeves had a lovely shape, but it was the arresting cut of this dress that captured our full attention. Niecy further enhanced it with her pose, but I would have loved to see a few shots with her hands down. It’s a pity to cover those curves.

Shannon Purser: Glamour came to the forefront with Shannon’s Tadashi Shoji gown. A sheer lace panel with high necklace drew attention to her elegant waves and alluring smile. Contrasted by a black base, the transparent details felt fresh compared to the fatigued illusion gowns that have become de rigueur on the red carpet.
