Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Mother!’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence was back on the red carpet this evening (September 5) for the ‘Mother!’ premiere during Venice Film Festival.

I’m not sure about you, but this is the first time in a long time that I’ve felt truly memiserzed by Jennifer in Dior Couture.

Had you shown me the runway picture and said, “this is what Jennifer is wearing tonight”, I would’ve been disappointed.

However, on Jennifer, the black point d’esprit over salmon pink tulle ball gown with herbal-inspired silk wild rose embroidery, feels like a magic moment, one I’d started to believe may never happen again.

This may be a little too sheer for some, but all I see is a bonafide movie star.

The look was styled with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Finally a great red carpet look from J.Law—- Dior collaboration!! On the runway, the grey skirt is quite dowdy, but Jen’s version with the nude underlining actually made the sheer polka dots details pop and the puffiness of the skirt makes it a princess-worthy moment for our Hunger Games beauty!! Head to toe PERFECTION, well done Jennifer Lawrence!!

she wears it better than the model. she looks lovely

It’s a different dress than what the model is wearing

This is probably my favourite look from Jennifer. She’s starting to look comfortable and commanding in high fashion which is a far cry from how she used to be.

This is great, she’s glowing and she looks like a true movie star.

Oh, this is a nice moment from her! She actually wears the dress and not the other way around. 2/2 for her at Venice.

Desperately need to know her make up artist! The smoky eyes makr even her hooded eyes poppin’. The dress itself, despite of the sheer bodice, looks great on her and the fit on her is better than the runway.model’s (rare occassion). Her best Dior looks after a very long time!

I Love her. Perfect from head to toe

  8. Fee September 6, 2017 at 00:12 #

Her best Dior look since she won the Oscar. Love it!

  9. Maya September 5, 2017 at 22:53 #

I agree she looks beautiful and the dress is much more interesting on her compared to the model. What I really love is her make up! LOVE IT!

I’m amazed with how much better it looks than on the runway. It appears lacklustre and moody on the model, on Jennifer it looks ethereal and like it’s shining from the inside. Also, I think the sheer actually works here, it helps create the illusion that the gown weighs nothing.
One of her best Dior looks ever, if not the best, that’s for sure.
(I thought she wouldn’t be able to top her Photocall, if only because she usually doesn’t get me excited on the rc, but she did surprise me with this.)

I LOVE this, I think she looks absolutely breathtaking. BDOTW worthy at least.

Stunning dress! She looks great from h2t.

  13. Jess September 5, 2017 at 21:44 #

Really nice, you can’t even tell its sheer until the closeup.
The skirt looks better than the runway- I think the waist has been taken up a bit higher and obviously she fills the dress out better than the model…. beautiful <3

I don’t think this tops her 2016 golden globes Dior look.

When is she gonna drop Dior 🙁

  15. AnderBoBo September 5, 2017 at 21:23 #

She was outshone by Rebecca and Michelle, this isn’t bad but certainly not a “wow”. All of her best looks are not Dior sadly.

  16. gabis September 5, 2017 at 21:03 #

Even with the sheer top I still find this a spectacular and BDOTW worthy look. Hard to believe it’s JLaw in Dior.

  17. Charlotte September 5, 2017 at 20:36 #

The dress looks better on her than on the model for sure.
    But still, it’s nothing spectacular.

I love Jennifer’s beauty look here and she looks graceful and lovely but I am not a fan of the dress itself mainly because I am sort of tired of dresses with the strategically placed flower petals to hide the nipples.

    • meme September 5, 2017 at 20:58 #

I am over and done with strategically placed flower petals hiding nipples.

  19. meme September 5, 2017 at 20:31 #

It’s a beautiful dress but did the top really need to be sheer? She’s so lovely and so talented. Can’t wait to see mother! sounds like a crazy movie.

  20. Paolo September 5, 2017 at 20:26 #

Finally a JLaw-Dior goosebump-moment!! A million times better than the runway!! Hair and make-up on point as well!! Magnificent!!

PS- Needless to say Venice has already delivered so much more than Cannes…

      A thousand percent.

      So many interesting looks.

As much as I love Elie Saab, I can’t say I have missed him at this festival. Which is a first I have to add.

I don’t like this. Jennifer gave the gown life and she’s looks beautiful but I just don’t like the gown itself. It’s an ugly one if you ask me.
