Anya Taylor-Joy In Gucci – 2017 BAFTAs

You can always rely on ‘Split’ actress Anya Taylor-Joy to make a statement on the red carpet, like here, at the 2017 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 12) in London, England.

This Gucci gown will definitely end up on best and worst dressed lists, it’s one of those polarising pieces, but personally… I love it!

The powder blue and coral work perfectly together, and the romantic, pleated layers and rounded sleeves bring a visually brilliant shape to this red carpet. And then you have Gucci’s now signature animal embroidery and delicate beading to the bust and neck line.

There’s always one star to make the ultimate statement, and I’m so glad it was Anya here.

Do you love this look too?

Wow. That is one ugly dress, from the design to the colors to that awful picture tacked onto the front. None of it works. It would def sit in my WDOTY pile.

My best dressed of the event definitely! The modern princess gown vibe, the layers are so beautifully done and the tiger imprint is just perfect to make it as one of a kind. And Anya makes it look that it was made for her. Love it!

Wow – stunning! Reminds me of a young Cate Blanchett. I can’t wait to see what we have in store from her in the future (also I may be partial as we have the same names!).

Breath-taking! The delicate layers done beautifully in a lovely colour, the embroidery adds theme and interest, and she looks incredibly perfect in this look. I have no doubt, one of me faves of the event.

Amazing. Anya took the biggest risk of the night – tough design and silhouette – and pulled it off with aplomb.

This is absolutely stunning! I actually gasped when I saw this for the first time. Perfect match of the dress and the wearer! Love the baby blue color.

Awful. This dress is like a traditional costume.

I am in love!! Gucci’s ruffled dresses haven’t been my favourite tbh but this one is just wow 😀

Yes, it is a polarising look but I’m firmly on board with it.
Anya is young enough to pull it off without looking ridiculous.
