Chloe Sevigny In Proenza Schouler – ‘#Horror’ New York Premiere

Chloe Sevigny In Proenza Schouler - '#Horror' New York Premiere

Chloe Sevigny attended the New York premiere of ‘#Horror’ on Wednesday (November 18) in New York City.

I have always liken Chloe’s style to marmite; you either love it or hate it.

My feeling is this Proenza Schouler Spring 2016 look will cause yet another divide.

I’m sure some will argue that there is too much going on with this flamenco-inspired piece.

However, I am on the love side – from the ankles up.

Yes, it’s a little all over the place with the ruffles, the cut out, the asymmetrical hemline and cow patches, but it’s visually arresting, and a much needed antidote to lack of colour and chances taken on the red carpet in recent weeks.

A Proenza Schouler ‘Hava’ clutch and oversized Proenza Schouler earrings rounded out the look.

Do you love it or hate it?

It is a stunning dress, more so in person. It suits Chloe as the flamenco emoticon of a beautiful woman. #horror is the first film to use # in the title so I think she found the perfect dress to wear to the premiere. ???????????????

    I don’t love but I don’t hate it. But I don’t like the earrings, they’re too big.

  3. Valissa November 20, 2015 at 4:03 am #

Love! It’s interesting, it’s appealing and it looks like she loves wearing it! Can’t ask for much more really….

  4. Cass November 19, 2015 at 11:15 pm #

Terrible. She looks like a pink cow.

  5. CreoleLady November 19, 2015 at 10:38 pm #

I like how she is wearing it. Deconstructed flamenco. Works for her.

  6. Nadine November 19, 2015 at 9:46 pm #

I definitely love her in it.

  7. pinksugar November 19, 2015 at 9:32 pm #

I feel like I shouldn’t love this, but I kinda do. She totally sales it.

The dress is very interesting in a good way but the styling is just terrible. It brings the whole look down imho.

  9. Nat39 November 19, 2015 at 7:01 pm #

Love. The look is pulled together very well and she wears it with confidence.

    • Nat39 November 19, 2015 at 7:03 pm #

..plus it’s something different and unusual on the red carpet.

  10. meme November 19, 2015 at 6:12 pm #

    yes, I hate it.

  11. Alina November 19, 2015 at 5:55 pm #

    Not liking this.

  12. Anne November 19, 2015 at 5:45 pm #

Get rid of the hip cut-out, the earrings and a different pair of shoes, and I’d like this. But as-is, it’s a no

  13. Helene November 19, 2015 at 5:30 pm #

    I kinda like it.

  14. Amanda November 19, 2015 at 5:08 pm #

Not sure if I like it or hate it to be honest, I’m somewhat in the middle veering more towards the “hate” side (lol!). The shoes and earrings fit into the whole flamenco vibe that I assume she was going for. With Chloe it’s always interesting.

LOVE! I liked her last Gucci dress and I love this one. Finally, she’s back!!! : )

  16. claire November 19, 2015 at 4:22 pm #

Love it!! Only Chloe can wear a dress like that and look effortlessly cool!

  17. Caroline November 19, 2015 at 4:16 pm #

Am I the only who dislikes this?

    • jhh36 November 19, 2015 at 5:02 pm #

No, you are not. It looks better than most of what Chloe wears but with the earrings, the random cutout on the dress, the ruffles, the asymmetrical sleeves, and the random splotches of whatever that black material is, this dress is a mess.

  18. Kim November 19, 2015 at 4:14 pm #

Love it so much! Chloe pulls this off with aplomb. I actually love the shoes with this look, perfectly flamenco.

  19. Carla November 19, 2015 at 4:05 pm #

#horror is absolutely on point for this look

    • Christine November 19, 2015 at 8:14 pm #

      Same

  23. CDC November 19, 2015 at 3:03 pm #

Totally agree with you FC, I love this look from the ankles up…and sans earrings. Another great look let down by weak styling.

  24. jbetweenthetrees November 19, 2015 at 3:01 pm #

LOVE! also the shoes, but not the bag and earrings.

  25. Dee November 19, 2015 at 2:49 pm #

The dress has a little too much going on for me.
