2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Plenty more PYTs were spotted on the orange carpet at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards at The Forum on Saturday (March 28) in Inglewood, California, each rocking their own interpretation of the youthful, fun dress code.

Willow Shields: Currently on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ the starlet traded the sequins and sparkle for a Self-Portrait Resort 2015 asymmetrical crop top with matching culottes in a striking, graphic square print. I love the directional shaping of this look—and that she accented the black-and-white ensemble with deep plum-coloured heels and clutch, which elevated it to the next level. Sideswept waves softened the stronger edge for a flirty finish.

Quvenzhane Wallis
: As the face of Armani Junior’s Spring/Summer 2015 advertising campaign, the starlet represented the brand well in an Armani Junior white cotton pique, sleeveless dress and matching jacket with pink and pastel-green detailing. Worn with white platform sneakers, the look struck a balance between sporty and girly styling, which she topped off with a high bun and matching pink lippie.

Debby Ryan: Debuting a majorly new mane, the actress swapped her signature flame-red locks for light lavender-gray strands. Adding to the colour story, she wore a Sachin & Babi Noir multihued, flirty frock with sheer detailing paired with a complementary Edie Parker ‘Lara’ clutch and sky-blue pumps. I could have done without the nose ring, but I actually love this bright, bold look from Debby—even if her hair completely has thrown me for a loop.

Daniela Nieves: The ‘Every Witch Way’ starlet’s printed ensemble was very much what you might expect at this event: cropped, colourful, and summery. I wasn’t a fan of the nude clutch and strappy heels, which were an off-putting clash. A unique under-braided ’do completed the skin-baring look.

Chloe Bennet: With a more sophisticated interpretation of the evening’s midriff-baring trend, the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ actress wore a Blaque Label creamy-white cropped top with center cutout and a full, swingy skirt that was flirty and lighthearted. The bold pop of hot magenta-pink Balenciaga shoe-boots were the final flourish.

Melissa Carcache: Like her ‘Every Witch Way’ co-star Daniela, Melissa went with a short, sassy, printed look, hers a Gemy Maaloof romper with a painterly floral motif. She accessorized with Mali Beads Jewelry and strappy red Prada shoes.

Jennifer Hudson: Before hitting the stage for a performance with Iggy Azalea, Jennifer posed in a Tamara Mellon black jumpsuit with body-shaping seaming, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sapphire-blue-accented sandals, Jack Vartanian earrings and bracelet, and a Le Vian ring. The fuchsia lip was a glorious touch, but the bowl-shaped ’do will take some getting used to.

Vanessa Marano: Skipping a dress for more mannish look, the ‘Switched at Birth’ actress wore cropped black trousers feminized with a corset-inspired, printed blue peplum top and matching strappy heels.

Laura Marano: Vanessa’s younger sister was all grown up in an Emporio Armani slate-blue romper, accessorized with metallic Jimmy Choo heels, a Tyler Alexandra clutch, and voluminous, bouncy waves. A shoe change to a flirty sandal would have certainly injected a more youthful vibe here.

Tia Mowry: Tia#s colourful head-to-toe look featuring a Peter Pilotto print dress and Balenicaga colour block sandals has me floating in fashion heaven.

Ariel Winter: I love neutral accessories including a gold Kotur clutch and nude Stuart Weitzman sandals used here as they don’t upstage Ariel’s Zara floral frock.

Which look stood out to you among the rest?
