2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other attendees at the 2015 amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday (February 11) in New York City.

Kendall Jenner: The model wore a striking red Romona Keveza Fall 2014 sleek asymmetrical gown styled with gold glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps and working a Gigi Hadid slicked-back do. You may remember that Rachel McAdams wore this same dress last year.

Toni Garrn: I love Toni but, as beautiful as she looks here, her love for Elie Saab lace gowns is starting to get repetitive. Here she opts for white following black and green offerings in the past. This look was styled with a Rauwolf clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti Design black suede sandal with golden leaf embellishments. If I had access to Elie Saab that’s all I would wear too, but I wish she would consider some of the other dresses on offer. A printed Elie Saab dress wouldn’t go amiss.

Iman: Shutting down the red carpet, the supermodel showed the youngsters how it’s done wearing a striped colourful look from Balmain’s Spring 2015 collection. Oozing natural style of the like the aforementioned could only dream about, this was one of my favourites of the bunch.

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup 2

Erin Wasson: Going the mannish route, the model perhaps didn’t have time to press her Schiaparelli suit after its return from Berlin where Juliette Binoche wore it to a photocall.

Karlie Kloss: Opting for black, as always, the model showcased her lean physique wearing a Mugler Spring 2015 dress with Repossi cuff.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel took a rare night off wearing black to don this purple Pucci number. The asymmetrical neckline is at odds with the diamond choker. The bracelet would have sufficed.

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup 3

Coco Rocha: The supermodel wasn’t about to let a baby bump come between her and a form-fitting Zac Posen gown.

Jessica Stam: The model wore a beautiful Kaufmanfranco silvery distressed dress, however, she breathes no life into it.

Nicky Hilton: The socialite wore a bold-hued red Valentino cape dress that some will liken to a poor version of Lupita Nyong’o Ralph Lauren Golden Globes gown. Personally, I think this is one of her best looks as she tends to always wear safe lace gowns.

Kendall and Iman for the win.
Kendall’s looks is classic and chic while Iman’s is fresh and bold. Both ladies look amazing

Kendall looks the best, love her hairdo and the red lips!
Not a fan of Iman’s jumpsuit, but wow, doesn’t she wear it amazingly.

(yes, it came as a surprise to me too)

Katie is my fave here – I don’t care that she does black often if it looks this good. Kendall second

I’m sorry but is it just me but does Kendall’s look lacked the most personality? it totally just look like a look her stylist/rep made her wear.
Everything was just calculated to tick off the red carpet easy wins: Red dress in a bright vibrant colour but no patterns to keep it simple, asymmetrical slits because its currently on trend with sleek long hair surrounded by diamonds.

Iman however is great at actually expressing herself through clothes. wearing a youthful trendy brand effortlessly however still able to pick an outfit that makes everyone remember that shes a supermodel from the 70’s/80’s

If anyone other than Kendall was wearing it would you say that?

I’m a bit sick of people inventing weak criticisms when it comes to her.

She looks beautiful, she’s working it, she’s a risk-taker and she’s young and fun – just let her be!

      • Amy February 13, 2015 at 2:30 pm #

I cannot believe I’m defending a jenner/kardashian but I agree with you. The girl looks great, let her be. Even if she did use a stylist, what’s wrong with that? How does it make her dumber than 98% of Hollywood (who also use a stylist)?

    Iman, by a mile.

  11. Arwa February 12, 2015 at 9:13 pm #

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the jumpsuit Iman is wearing? She is gorgeous, but the jumpsuit is not.

    • dee February 12, 2015 at 6:11 pm #

No, I don’t like it either.

    • Kimma February 12, 2015 at 10:23 pm #

Not the only one! imans outfit is hideous.

    • manja February 13, 2015 at 9:06 am #

  15. Cate February 12, 2015 at 5:41 pm #

  16. Katrin February 12, 2015 at 5:40 pm #

LOVE LOVE Iman…and Nicky Hilton’s baby blue eyes

  17. Nadia February 12, 2015 at 5:36 pm #

Kendall is the best of the bunch, imo.
    Toni looks washed out.
    Iman looks super cool.
Erin is kind of scary thin.
… And I’m too lazy to comment on the rest…

Love Toni, Karlie and Iman. Not a lace fan, but Toni proved me wrong and made the look so ethereal. Karlie rarely looked good as herself but so great as that character on the runway or in ads, and it’s changed with this sexy number. Iman, thank you for doing Balmain justice. Nice to see Balmain on someone whose last name doesn’t start with a K.

  19. Yeliz February 12, 2015 at 5:20 pm #

Iman and Kendall are my faves of the bunch.

    • pinksugar February 12, 2015 at 6:08 pm #

Hands down the two best here. Iman is ageless.

I am crying inside because that gorgeous Valentino gown was wasted on Nicky Hilton, who looks like a stripper who stole couture.

    • Fiona-Brasil February 13, 2015 at 9:24 pm #

      + 2. Iman, Kendall and Karlie…

  20. Alina February 12, 2015 at 5:17 pm #

    Iman reigns supreme.
