Shakira In Julien Macdonald – 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Before her performance during the show, Shakira walked the red carpet of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight (May 18).

The singer wore a pretty blue long-sleeved dress from Julien Macdonald’s Fall 2014.

The patterned sheer paneling is an interesting take on the hot trend, and by forgoing any dramatic jewelry, Shakira definitely lets this dress do the talking.

I do feel like the chunky black platforms are out of place, and wish she’d opted for a strappy silver sandal or even a nude pump instead.

Simple but classic hair and makeup are perfectly Shakira, and keep the singer well within her comfort zone.

Nothing too dramatic, but a lovely turn on the red carpet.
