Get The Look: Lupita Nyong’o’s Met Gala Makeup

"Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Channeling a modern-day Josephine Baker, celeb makeup artist Nick Barose used a variety of modern colors and textures for Lupita’s look at the Met Ball.

He gave her a beautiful purple smokey eye with the Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Miss Sweetheart D and accented her brows with the Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre.

A few coats of Lancôme Hypnose Mascara in Black and her eye look was complete.

For her pink cheeks, he went with the Armani Maestro Blush in 300 and layered it with the Armani Cheek Fabric in 509.

Her lips were a combination of Lancôme Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick in Sheer Chocolate and the Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipcolor in Bordeaux.

The end result?

Gorgeous complementary colors that truly paired well with her dress weather you like it or disliked it.
