Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces Party

Marie Claire's Fresh Faces Party

There were plenty more lovely starlets who attended Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces Party, held at Soho House on Tuesday (April 8) in West Hollywood, California.

Naya Rivera: Inspiring us to get back into the gym, the ‘Glee’ actress donned a Philosophy ivory top slashed to reveal a bralet and midriff, which she wore with black cropped trousers. I can’t say I’m a fan of this look. I feel like she’s trying to make a statement, but the look is coming off as trying too hard.

Mena Suvari: One of my favourites from this event, Mena wore a flirty Sachin + Babi crop top with a floral lattice embroidered maxi skirt, which she styled with not only a coral Edie Parker clutch but also floral Dolce & Gabbana sandals and a trendy ear cuff courtesy of Graziela Gems.

Zoey Deutch: Opting for a bright-red-hued Alexander Wang Lattice back apron dress, the simple silhouette of her look wasn’t diluted by her clear perspex Charlotte Olympia clutch or her Alexander Wang ‘Alla’ open open-toe wedges which gave the look a tougher edge.

Jenna Elfman: I love this light-blue colour on Jenna; however, the Chloe wide-leg trousers, which we recently saw on Victoria Beckham, would’ve worked better had they been an inch or two shorter. She styled her look with an Aldo clutch.

Lyndsy Fonseca: The actress wore a grey-striped Sachin + Babi Spring 2014 pinafore top and pants styled with metallic-grey Greymer heels to amp up her look.

Sarah Hyland: Looking very spring appropriate, the young actress worked the crop-top trend to perfection, styling the piece with a blush-pink flared Milly skirt and complementary accessories including a Jenny Packham clutch plus Lorraine Schwartz jewels. The contrasting nail polish was a cute touch.

Paz Vega: Polka dots, contrasting prints AND criss-cross detailing? Methinks there is too much going on with Paz’s Emanuel Ungaro look especially when adding a fringe clutch

Shantel VanSanten: On the other hand, Shantel’s look was simple and chic, consisting of a lemon-hued Burberry frock with black accessories.

Katie Lowes: Going for a black and red look, the ‘Scandal’ actress wore a Trina Turk draped top and a pleated Candela maxi skirt styled with a Devi Kroell clutch and EF Collection rings, which she topped off with a bold red lip. I’m deliberately ignoring the shoes.

Zoey isn’t wearing the Alla Wedges, in a close up shot of her shoes you can see they’re not wedges

does it bother anyone that zoey is carrying a clear clutch with absolutely nothing in it?

I think the Sachin + Babi looks are standing out most for me in this event.

Zoey Deutch looks nice, but her face is shades lighter than her body. Terrible – looks like she’s wearing a mask.

Naya’s metamorphosis over the years is something else.

Mena looks lovely and is also my favourite.

    I don’t get the fuss about Zoey’s style :/

The Naya case is a pretty rare one, she sometimes surprises me and some others just let me down. Her last bec and bridge look for me was one of her worst but this one feels for me as improvement. The problem is that she has tried every single version of this trend and it has become really boring. My recomendation would be to have a new stylist. I’m sorry for Taylor Jackobson but Naya should look much better on the red carpet.

    Mena looks lovely.
Lindsy ensemble is cute but I wish she wore colorful shoes.
Zoe looks nice but I’m not fan of the booties.
    Sarah’s cute

Naya should just change her name to try-hard. She always looks a hot mess and comes off very tacky and fake.

I agree! She looks totally different than she used to. She did a whole makeover to suit her fiance, like Kim did. And they look the same. Shame because she was a pretty girl.

Love Mena and Lyndsy’s looks from head-to-toe.

    1rst Mena
2nd Zoey Deutch (minus the shoes)

    I only like Mena’s look.

Mena Suvari looks gorgeous and fresh. Love it. She’s definitely my favorite.
Jenna Elfman could’ve looked great too had her pants been shorter and not so wrinkled. The light-blue is fantastic.

  16. Talita April 9, 2014 at 1:25 pm #

I really don’t like Naya’s cropped trousers. Showing your belly button is just not necessary.

It’s kind of an ageing look on Zoey :/
