Serena Williams In Narciso Rodriguez – Late Show with David Letterman

Serena Williams In Narciso Rodriguez - Late Show with David Letterman

Serena Williams was also spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City yesterday making a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ as she gears up for the US Open, which kick-starts on August 26.

Going in seeded as the women’s number one, the tennis ace looked smashing upon arrival wearing a sexy Narciso Rodriguez leather v-neck dress which hugged every curve.

The dress, which featured tonal seam detailing, was amped up several notches with black-and-white strappy Aperlai sandals with a yellow ankle strap.

Serena’s style is very hit and miss, this being firmly in the hit category. Both her hair and makeup (occasionally her Achilles heel) are flawless on this occasion.

Ace or double fault?

Yes, it does hug every curve…. too bad one of those curves is her belly button! If she had gone up a size (or two), this would have been a perfect look. The shoes, the hair, the body, all fierce. But with that too-tight dress, it’s veering into Mariah Carey territory.

She is certainly leaving nothing to the imagination. I agree with those on the positive side here–she has the body to pull this off, and seems to me she is putting her opponents on notice that she is in great shape and coming for them. She looks spectacular.

    The shape is not flattering

I like the close up, but it gets a bit unflattering south of the frame (belly button, ankles and feet).

Too tight, don’t like the shoes and too much hair.

I think this is slightly too tight for me to really give it the thumb’s up. That belly button thing is really off-putting, IMO.

Um yeah, NO dress that reveals the outline of your belly button can be considered flattering, fierce,, tasteful, or attractive. I have some different adjectives in mind, and I’m pretty sure I don’t have to list them.

The dress is a bit too tight IMO, you can see her bellybutton!
the fit of the dress looks better on the model.

I know most of the time seeing a bellybutton through a dress a big no-no, but I don’t mind it this time.
IMO on the model the dress seems too loose, which makes her kind of shapeless and unflattering.
Williams made it accentuate her athletic body and is not ashamed to show off her broad shoulders, which are usually advised to be covered-up with sleeves so that god-forbid you wouldn’t look strong and manly.
She’s proud of her body. She worked hard for those arms and shoulders. Good for her.

    In one word – FIERCE.

I only like the shoes. The dress would be great on someone else.

She looks gorgeous ! I love the hair, the make up (perfect!) and the shoes !!
The dress is great, perfect for her body even if leahter is not the most appropriate for summer.

Ditto. She gets away with wearing leather because she was apearing on a TV show, not walking the streets of NYC.
