Get the Looks: Rachel Bilson’s Gorgeous Red Carpet Makeup

Rachel Bilson Makeup

This week Rachel Bilson gave us two gorgeous head-to-toe looks, and here, I’ve got the breakdown of how you can get both makeup looks.

Look 1

At the LA premiere of her new movie ‘The To Do List’, Rachel made a big impact with edgy makeup by Amy Nadine.

First, Amy prepped Rachel’s skin with a few drops of tarte pure maracuja oil and then blended tarte maracuja creaseless concealer under her eyes.

Next, she applied tarte maracuja miracle foundation (in light) all over Rachel’s face, and then gently buffed tarte Amazonian clay full coverage airbrush powder foundation (in light) on top, to eliminate any shine.

She used tarte Amazonian clay matte waterproof mineral powder bronzer in park ave princess to contour Rachel’s cheeks, and then dusted tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in amused on the apples of her cheeks.

For the eyes, Amy created a twist on the classic cat-eye by making the lines thicker and more angular. First, she used tarte skinny smolderEYES Amazonian clay waterproof liner in onyx and drew a line from the inner corners of the eyes all the way to the end of the brow, so that it was a little longer than the typical wing.

Then, instead of picking up the pencil, Amy traced it back toward the inner corners and went back and filled it all in, resulting in a diamond shape. Then, she lined Rachel’s lower rims, and set the liner by patting black shadow on top of it.

Next, she added individual false lashes to give Rachel’s natural lashes a boost, and finally applied two coats of tarte lights, camera, flashes statement mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

To complete the look, Amy used tarte LipSurgence lip tint in amused, blotted it down and then applied tarte LipSurgence matte lip tint in lucky. The combination of the two shades was the perfect soft lip to complement Rachel’s edgy eye.

Look 2

Rachel’s second stunning look was from the CW, CBS, and Showtime 2013 Summer TCA party.

Rachel went to the party straight from filming her show ‘Hart of Dixie’, so her makeup look was created by the show’s makeup department head, Joni Powell.

First, Joni prepped Rachel’s skin with La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Cream to give her skin an immediate glow.

Then, she applied Kanebo Cellular Performance Cream Foundation to her skin, and finished things off with Chanel Mouche de Beauté Illuminating Powder for a flawless, radiant complexion.

On Rachel’s eyes, Joni layered Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in blue bay and tarte Amazonian clay waterproof eyeliner in navy in a thick cat eye design.

Then, she lined Rachel’s bottom waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Clash, and she finished off the eyes with Chanel’s Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Bleu.

The moody blue eye effect was complimented with a light wash of Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect on Rachel’s cheeks, and her lips were given the same light pink hue with Laura Mercier’s Crème Smooth Lip Colour in 60’s Pink.
