Julianne Moore In Jason Wu – 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards

Julianne Moore picked up Best Actress in a Movie for her role as Sarah Palin in ‘Game Change’ at the 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, held in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

The actress opted for a simple silhouette wearing a Jason Wu black-and-white Resort 2013 dress.

Her halter dress was styled with nude Walter Steiger strappy sandals, when black would’ve been the more obvious choice, and Bulgari jewels.

Opting to sweep her glorious red hair over one shoulder, the actress completed her look with a pink lip colour.

This dress reminds me of the Stella McCartney gown Jane Fonda wore at Cannes. I think Julianne looks lovely, I like the silhouette, neckline, hair and lip colour. I also very much like the fact that she didn’t go with the expected black pump. In saying this however, I do find this look a bit boring and we have definitely seen this look many times from various people.

This is dull and not that flattering. Could’ve at least added a cuff. Black Givenchy sandals come to mind.

She always looks good whenever she’s not wearing Lanvin..

Aside from the shoe choice, this is the best Julianne has looked in a long time. I think she should stick with Jason Wu.

I really like the dress and I really like it on her. The sandals are kind of mumsy and if she had worn a more sparkly shoe it would have upped the look considerably along with an evening clutch. I HATE her makeup, especially the eyes–makes her look like she has hayfever. And I would have appreciated more volume in her beautiful hair.

BTW–she was spectacular as Sarah Palin.

Agreed. The likeness and mannerisms were uncanny

Julianne straddles the delicate line between minimalist/modern sense of style and ducking boring.

This look is boring but I guess (begrudgingly) it works for her.

I would have loved pink sandals to complement her lip colour. The dress is meh, more suitable for a press conference IMO.

The dress is like the twins of Stella McCartney Fall 2011 (?) dresses.

True, this isn’t going to knock anybody’s socks off. But at least she looks somewhat polished. I like her in more sleek looks, rather than some of the Lanvin messes she had been favoring last year. I am no fan of the pink and orange eye palettes that seem to be the current trend.
