Red Carpet Fashion Awards

On Friday evening, Angelababy hit the red carpet during the 2012 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her latest film, ‘Tai Chi O’.

I’ve loved her Elie Saab, and surprisingly loved her in Herve Leger, but that love doesn’t extend to this Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture gown.

This lime green shimmering beaded dress with peach and blue tulle accents and a chiffon train screams pageant queen to me.

As beautiful as she looks, there’s nothing I find appealing about this gown.

Christian Louboutin diamante peep-toes, which are two sizes too big for her, flowing raven locks, a silver serpent cuff and diamond encrusted drop earrings completed her look.

Laetitia Casta continued her jury member duties during the 2012 Venice Film Festival on Saturday evening for the premiere for ‘The Master’.

She looked drop dead gorgeous in an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture dress; I’m excited that we finally have our first look from this stunning collection to hit the red carpet.

Her pretty peach tulle dress with an A-line skirt with gold embellishments was styled with open-toe t-bar sandals from the same collection, but I wish she’d worn the open-toe runway version.

The French beauty doesn’t wear much makeup, not that she needs it, but on this occasion she opted for a hot red lip colour with a blown out lock to complete her look.

Many of you hated her see-through Dolce & Gabbana look from the opening ceremony, so how does this look fare?

Maika Monroe and Zac Efron hit the red carpet on Friday evening for their ‘At Any Price’ premiere during the 2012 Venice Film Festival, held at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

Every year the festival reveals a young new talent, and now seems to be the moment of Maika Monroe.

The 18-year-old actress dazzled on the red carpet wearing a Marchesa Fall 2012 gown.

Her white gown with feather-like embroidery and a flared tulle skirt was a perfectly glamorous way to shine in this spotlight.

The beachy braid wouldn’t have been my choice, but she’s a young girl who probably wanted to have some fun with the look and add a youthful vibe.

Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain crystal chain ankle strap sandals, drop earrings and glossy lips completed her look.

Zac looked incredibly dapper in his black suit and matching black tie.

Angelababy Yang attended the ‘Tai Chi O’ photocall during the 2012 Venice Film Festival at the Palazzo del Casino in Venice, Italy, this afternoon.

We were first introduced to the stunning Asian actress when she wore the BDOTY-worthy Elie Saab gown, but on this occasion she opted for a Hervé Léger by Max Azria patchwork tweed bandage dress from the Fall 2012 collection.

While I never expected to see a bandage dress on the red carpet for a major film festival, I have to say she looks really cute.

The same can’t be said for those quadruple stacked Giuseppe Zanotti heels, but I am excited to see what she will wear this evening.

Brit Marling joined Winona Ryder on the red carpet yesterday evening at the Palazzo del Cinema for the Venice Film Festival premiere of ‘The Iceman’.

The blonde actress wore a Gucci Resort 2013 dress, which is our third look from this collection on the red carpet following Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.

Her white strapless gown with an embroidered floral print on the skirt was styled with a deep red satin Gucci clutch and gold Gucci sandals.

Brit smoulders with kohl-rimmed eyes and a sultry glare with her long tresses left naturally wavy.

Do you like this chic, yet laid back look? Or is this more Independent Spirit Awards than Venice Film Festival?

Winona Ryder made a rare appearance on the red carpet last night for the premiere of ‘The Iceman’ at the 2012 Venice Film Festival.

The actress, who was a fan (and paparazzi) favourite in the 90s, looked a little bewildered to be back in the spotlight – not that her deer-stuck-in-headlights expression detracted from the classic black Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Winona embellished her look with a pair of bejewelled Lanvin drop earrings and a plain satin clutch, both of which offset the dress’ gorgeous lace overlay.
