Kirsten Dunst In Rodarte – ‘Woodshock’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

No one should be surprised that Kirsten Dunst stars in Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s directorial debut for ‘Woodshock’.

The film, which has been guarded with secrecy so far, was presented at a photocall during Venice Film Festival this afternoon (September 4).

Kirsten was naturally in Rodarte, wearing a sheer top and trousers from the Spring 2018 collection.

The brands cool-girl credentials give way to enchanting florals within a look which exudes vintage and boho charm.

Since Cannes I have been fully on board with Kirsten’s bolder red carpet looks.

This might not be favoured by everyone, but give me this over a button-up granny frock any day.

I think she totally nailed the look.

Venice Film Festival Weekend Roundup

Here is a roundup of the stunning gowns which hit the Venice Film Festival carpet this weekend.

Giulia Bevilacqua: If you were in any doubt, Giulia did her best to let you know that she’s arrived at the festival, sweeping, almost literally, the red carpet in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Beautiful woman. Equally beautiful gown, but I would’ve loved to have seen some earrings here.

Tina Kunakey In Armani Privé – ‘Suburbicon’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

It appears that feathers are all the rage on the red carpet during the 2017 Venice Film Festival.

Tina Kunakey, who I almost didn’t recoginse without her signature teased-to-the-heavens afro, is the latest star to work the trend.

While some have opted for feathers to enrich the hem of their gown, Tina went full ostrich with her Armani Privé open-back from styled with a reverse Tiffany & Co. necklace.

If you’ve having a very mid case of deja vu, that may be because Iggy Azalea rocked an Armani Privé Spring 2015 gown in a feathery sky-blue hue back in 2015.

Jennifer Carpenter In Wai Ming & Sally LaPointe – ‘Brawl In Cell Block 99’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Carpenter promoted her new film, ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’ during the 74th Venice International Film Festival on Saturday (September 2), offering autumnal looks with sleek foundations.

Photocall: Pairing a Wai Ming top with J Brand ‘Selena’ cropped jeans felt effortless with a cool edge thanks to her studded mules.

Premiere: Cut to the evening and the actress has dialed up the glamour wearing a Sally LaPointe Spring 2017 dress with, yep, more feathers, which Jennifer opted to wear without the leather corset we saw on the runway. Tacori jewels and Nicholas Kirwood ‘Maeva’ sandals completed her look.

Stella Egitto In Gucci – The Leisure Seeker (Ella & John) Venice Film Festival Premiere

Italian actress Stella Egitto joined a host of international stars for the ‘The Leisure Seeker (Ella & John)’ premiere during the 74th Venice Film Festival on Sunday (September 3)

She wore one of the significant pieces from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection that reflects Alessandro Michele’s eclectic style.

The colour-block sequin dress featuring embroidered jewel details and crystal bow is a look that stands alone, so any further flourishes would’ve upset the harmonious balance.

You may remember that Isabelle Huppert wore this same dress back in February.

Helen Mirren In Sassi Holford – The Leisure Seeker (Ella & John) Venice Film Festival Premiere

Dame Helen Mirren graced Venice Film Festival with her regal presence on Sunday (September 3).

Photocall: Ordinarily a top-handle bag would feel too much for a photocall, but methinks she said to herself, “what would her majesty do?” then opted for the Dolce & Gabanna ‘Monica’ bag which coordinated effortlessly with her fancy, floral frock.

Premiere: The British actress joined her co-star Donald Sutherland and Susan Sarandon for the premiere, opting for a more sedate approach to red carpet dressing in Sassi Holford. Sadly, I really dislike the gown. It does nothing to enhance her beauty, it feels really dated and the quality of the material is questionable. She can do so much better.
