Moran Atias' Venice Film Festival Red Carpet Looks

Moran Atias has had a busy two days attending various events during Venice Film Festival, where she has mostly worn Dolce & Gabbana.

Arrival: She arrived in fine style wearing a Dolce & Gabbana baby-blue lace long-sleeved crew-neck dress, which she styled with a matching Dolce & Gabbana tote and, rather oddly, Dolce & Gabbana leopard-print ballet flats.

Uomo Vogue Cocktail Party: Opting for a warm-hued Alberta Ferretti brick-red felt sleeveless dress with embroidered details, she once again opted for flats, plus a black satin clutch. Better styling would’ve improved this look tremendously for me.

Terrazza Maserati:
For this event she finally donned heels, which instantly elevated her Dolce & Gabbana summery look consisting of a knit top and painterly floral skirt.

‘Gravity’ Premiere: Moran wore a dramatic black textured Dolce & Gabbana strapless frock with a rise-and-fall hemline and full skirt styled with black platform open-toe sandals, a fringed bag and opera gloves. I feel like the dress was dramatic enough without the gloves. In my opinion the only person who makes these gloves work on the red carpet is Dita von Teese.

Which look is your favourite?

For me it would’ve been the arrival look but the animal-print flats turned me off, so my choice is the summery Dolce & Gabbana look at Terrazza Maserati.

Natalia Borges In Fausto Puglisi - 2013 Venice Film Festival

Natalia Borges, who is the current face of Garnier Fructis America, has so far given us two contrasting looks by the same designer while attending Venice Film Festival.

‘Gravity’ premiere: She was very much the blonde bombshell, wearing a two-tone yellow-and-lavender Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 dress which she styled with Christian Louboutin spiked accessories and a black leather belt with a ram’s-head gold buckle, the brand’s signature for this collection.

‘Tracks’ premiere: Last night she opted for something more fun and playful, wearing a leather sleeveless top with a half-plaid, half-patterned skater skirt with a black waistband, also from the Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 collection, which was styled with a ruby-and-silver bibbed Shorouk necklace and sexy red-and-black strappy buckle Casadei for Puglisi sandals.

I like both looks, with my preference leaning heavily towards the first look. The second feels like it should’ve been on the red carpet at the VMAs last weekend, plus the hair is too prissy for such a edgy look.

Francesca Cavallin In Barbara Casasola - 'Tracks' Venice Film Festival Premiere

Francesca Cavallin glided down the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘Tracks’ Venice Film Festival premiere held at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

The Italian actress selected a two-tone Barbara Casasola Fall 2013 frock, with a lavender front featuring a sheer organza insert and neckline, and a dramatic deep-aubergine back which she complemented with a matching lip colour.

While I like her hair up with this look, the style itself feels a tad matronly.

The look was completed with a Stark black clutch accented with gold hardware.

BDOTW worthy?

Eva Riccobono In Christian Dior - 'Tracks' Venice Film Festival Premiere

I am not entirely sure what the significance was, but Eva Riccobono was blowing bubbles on the red carpet this evening while attending the ‘Tracks’ premiere during the 2013 Venice Film Festival held at the Palazzo del Cinema in Italy.

She heard our pleas and opted for something totally different wearing a black chiffon Christian Dior Fall 2013 layered dress with colourful motifs and embellished detailing.

The look was styled with Christian Dior ankle strap pumps, sleek straight locks and a pink lip colour.

Eva is yet to blow me away during this festival. I am feeling totally underwhelmed by this look as it doesn’t really live up to what we would expect glamour-wise from a Venice Film Festival premiere.

Mia Wasikowska In Nina Ricci - 'Tracks' Venice Film Festival Premiere

Mia Wasikowska was back out on the red carpet this evening for the ‘Tracks’ premiere at the Palazzo del Cinema during the 2013 Venice Film Festival in Italy.

She looked very statuesque wearing a Nina Ricci black halter gown with a lace bodice and mermaid hem, which was a very elegant choice so I don’t find myself disappointed that she’s reverted back to the dark side of the colour palette once again.

For someone who doesn’t do glamour very often, she totally nailed the look, styling her gown with subtle diamond earrings, a simple updo and bright-red lips.

Freida Pinto, Carey Mulligan Michelle Dockery & Gabrielle Union In Miu Miu - Miu Miu Women's Tales

Several celebs attended the Miu Miu Women’s Tales screening during the 2013 Venice International Film Festival in Italy this afternoon.

Freida Pinto: I’m usually a big fan of Freida’s style, but this bright-red Miu Miu dress with a black button panel with a zipper detail …dare I say… looks very cheap and the whole thing reads sloppy to me. Very disappointed.

Carey Mulligan: Even though I am not a fan of sunglasses on the red carpet, Carey fared much better wearing a simple black silk Miu Miu frock with a white Peter Pan collar, which is the second look which has a back-to-school vibe I have seen this week.

Michelle Dockery: Also opting for red, the British actress wore a Miu Miu silk crepe-de-chine loose-fit mini dress with two front patch pockets. I am picturing her shuffling along the red carpet, because those black pumps look so heavy. I’m also not a fan of the clutch; it feels like it is there just for advertising purposes as it also doesn’t complement her frock.

Gabrielle Union: The beautiful actress graced the red carpet wearing a floaty sheer black Miu MIu dress with a red velvet panel which has an autumnal feel that I can’t get excited about.

In summary, with the exception of Carey, none of these looks is working for me. I can find fault with each look.
