Alicia Keys In Stella McCartney - ARIA Awards 2013

Alicia Keys attended the 27th Annual ARIA Awards 2013 held at the Star in Sydney, Australia on Sunday evening.

The singer, who presented the Best Female Artist award at the event to Jessica Mauboy, wore a Stella McCartney racerback vivid-yellow gown accented with a wide gold belt for the occasion.

I’m sure many of you are feeling somewhat fatigued by this gown – considering we first saw this dress on Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2012 Grammy Awards, a version of this gown was the most-worn dress of 2012, and Michelle Dockery wore the black version of this gown just last week – but this bold hue revitalizes the look for me.

I love the clean lines and figure-hugging silhouette, the flaw-free makeup and the sexy quiffed ‘do; however, I’m trying not to be annoyed by the needless necklace.

You can buy a Alicia’s Stella McCartney Gown from Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

Jessica Mauboy In Josh Goot - ARIA Awards 2013

In the US you have the American Music Awards, in the UK we have The Brit Awards, and in Australia they have the ARIA Awards with the crème de la crème of Australian music talent, including Jessica Mauboy who celebrated in the most colourful way possible yesterday evening.

The gorgeous popstar wore a Josh Goot Resort 2013 look featuring a strapless corset top with a structured silhouette and a multi-coloured flower print paired with a colour-block asymmetrical flared skirt with a copper leather panel.

There is a lot going on, which is why she kept the styling simple with an updo, subtle Bulgari jewels, neutral makeup and black Louboutin pumps; however, the model’s heels are much preferred – both the style and colour.

Her ensemble has so much character that I feel she let it down somewhat with the uninspiring footwear.

Do you agree?

Coco Rocha In Moschino & Kate Upton In Nina Ricci - VRC Oaks Club Luncheon

Coco Rocha and Kate Upton donned their finest hats for the VRC Oaks Club Luncheon held at the Crown Palladium on Wednesday afternoon in Melbourne, Australia.

Coco Rocha: After donning some fashion-forward headpieces over the last few days, this one was quite conservative by her standards. The black Philip Treacy hat, angled to one side, was worn with a Moschino Pre-Fall 2013 look featuring a black embellished jacket and skirt and a cream blouse.

Kate Upton: Wearing a similar, yet smaller, hat to Coco, Kate worked an uptown-girl look wearing a cream Nina Ricci stretch wool-blend crepe jacket and matching skirt with cream Jimmy Choo ‘Xenia’ sandals and a red Chanel bag. I’m not fond of the accessories; they let down what could’ve been a great look. You may remember that Nicole Kidman has already worn the suit and Olivia Palermo has donned the jacket. So how does this look work for you the third time out?

Oaks Day

Oaks Day

There were many other stars joining Coco Rocha on the red carpet for Oaks Day held at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia earlier today.

Whitey Port: The reality TV star wore a Cooper St custom-print peplum top and white skirt with a sexy slit, which she styled with a red Chanel bag, white ankle-strap sandals and an event-appropriate wide-brim white hat. Whitney collaborated with Australian label Cooper St to launch a bespoke line for the brand which was launched last month.

Jennifer Hawkins: The face of Myer opted for a very different headpiece, donning an AUS$800,000 Cerrone diamond crown headpiece with her lilac Manning Cartell one-shoulder frock with a pretty lace skirt and black velvet waistband styled with a Jimmy Choo black clutch and two-tone pumps.

Lauren Phillips: Fellow face of Myer Lauren Phillips opted for a sleek and sexy Yeojin Bae figure-hugging animal-print dress and a burnt-orange Melissa Jackson headpiece.

Kate Waterhouse In Peter Pilotto - Melbourne Cup Day

Kate Waterhouse attended Melbourne Cup Day in Australia on Tuesday.

Perhaps it was something in the water, but Coco Rocha wasn’t the only one to don Peter Pilotto for the day’s festivities. The Sun Herald journalist — who also happens to be a part of Australia’s racing royalty — also chose an optic-printed Peter Pilotto Fall 2013 dress, this one with cutout short sleeves and a fun cocktail-length hemline.

For me, this look got its one-two punch from the well-coordinated details: a sexy pair of Tom Ford shoes, a gold Charlotte Olympia ‘Box Office’ clutch, and a custom co-designed headpiece by Nerida Winter for Hardy Brothers Jewellery.
