Araya A. Hargate In Zac Posen – ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Araya A. Hargate made a fairy tale-like entrance onto the red carpet this evening for the ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival premiere.

The Thai-British actress and model looked like princess wearing a Zac Posen Spring 2013 gown, which I’m sure Fan Bingbing and Zhang Yuqi are kicking themselves that they didn’t get their hands on first.

Araya’s green gown featuring a satin bodice and tons of tulle skirt was further dramatized with cat-eye makeup.

Simple styling, as a gown like this speaks for itself, included silver earrings, a Devi Kroell clutch and a sweeping updo.

While I like the dramatic nature of this look, after all this is what Cannes is about, I really wish the satin part of the dress didn’t fall any further than her hips. That trailing piece really puts me off loving this look.

2013 American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala

Here are a few more looks from the American Ballet Theatre’s Opening Night Spring Gala, held at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday evening.

Coco Rocha: It’s not surprising to see Coco wearing a Zac Posen strapless gown on the red carpet; what is surprising is how unrecognisable she now is.

Uma Thurman: I expected something far more glamorous from Uma considering her amazing Met Gala look just last week. Her long-sleeved floor-length Fendi Fall 2013 dress may have been looked upon more favourably had she opted for a statement piece to detract from those creases.

Ashlee Simpson: I was surprised to see Ashlee Simpson at this event; however, she scrubbed up nicely wearing a backless lace high-neck Alice + Olivia gown with a feathered peplum, which she styled with a Jimmy Choo clutch, ELAHN jewelry and emerald Ocnarf Sairutsa ‘Nualah’earrings.

Alek Wek: The supermodel joins the ever-growing list of celebrities who have worn a look from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 collection. You may remember that Shu Qi wore this same charcoal-grey tuxedo dress featuring notched lapels and a pleated skirt with shimmering blue and pink panels, sans bustier, earlier this year.

Ashlee is my favourite of this group, with Lucy Liu my favourite overall at this event.

Uma Thurman In Zac Posen – 2013 Met Gala

This is one look where I don’t care if the punk theme applies. Uma Thurman looked breathtaking, giving us pure Hollywood glamour at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday in New York City.

The actress was, of course, wearing a Zac Posen gown; his workmanship is evident in the hourglass silhouette, floor-sweeping train and intricate detailing.

Her Efva Attling ‘Paparazzi’ ring, which makes a powerful statement, is the only punk element to her look – thankfully – as I want to drink in this regal excellence without any theatrics.

Naya Rivera In Zac Posen – 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

Keeping up her sexy streak, ‘Glee’ girl Naya Rivera attended the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards, hosted by Drew Barrymore, on Saturday at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live.

The actress stunned in a dusty-rose, strapless dress by Zac Posen, which fully flaunted her curves.

The silk creation managed to stay on the sophisticated side with its below-the-knee trumpet hemline and geometric folded detail at the bodice.

While her deep bronze tan proved to be quite the noticeable accessory, Naya’s light jade-green statement earrings were a fresh counterpoint.

She swept back her raven locks into a wavy ponytail and completed the look with a mix of metals—a silver clutch and a pair of light metallic-gold pointy-toe pumps.

amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2013 Fashion Week Red Carpet Round Up

Many more stars joined Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung on the red carpet last night for the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week.

Heidi Klum: No surprises that the Project Runway host wore a Michael Kors gown. Her black jersey halter gown with crystal embroidery was styled with a white-and-black diamond necklace and a matching ring by her favourite jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz. Sleek locks and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Crystal Renn: The model was wearing… you guessed it – Zac Posen. Her bold red gown with a floor-sweeping skirt was styled with Lorraine Schwartz ruby earrings and a retro updo. As predictable as this look is, for Crystal it never gets old.

Naomi Watts In Zac Posen – 11th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards

Naomi Watts attended the 11th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on Tuesday evening.

The actress wore a gorgeous Zac Posen strapless blood-red gown.

Ms Watts appears to be having quite a love affair with Zac Posen’s designs. Of the three she has worn in the last two months, her floral gown from ‘The Impossible’ LA premiere is still my favourite, with the Golden Globes gown a close second.

While this floral embroidered gown is stunning, I think Naomi is missing the je ne sais quoi she possessed with the previous looks mentioned.

Maybe if she’d opted for a different hairstyle, the look would’ve been amped up, taking it to another level.

Gold trinkets and natural makeup completed her look.
