Amanda Seyfried In Valentino & Alexander McQueen – ‘First Reformed’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

It was exciting to see Amanda Seyfried back on the red carpet after becoming a new mum earlier in the year. And what better way to make a comeback than the 74th Venice Film Festival.

Photocall: Printed with lips and lipsticks, I love the playfulness of her Valentino Resort 2018 dress. I wasn’t always a huge fan of the Seyfried/Givenchy union, this feels way more suited to her style. Stuart Weitzman ‘Bebare’ sandals completed her look.

Premiere: I really wanted to love this Alexander McQueen look. Normally their rare red carpet sightings are a beauty to behold, but I found myself disliking the patchwork nature of it. “We’ll add some florals. What about sheer lace? Don’t forget the polka dots. We must incorporate a handkerchief hem” Arggghh. Too much is going on here. The only thing I love here are her Chopard earrings from the ‘ Temptations Collections’.

Mandy Moore In Valentino – ‘This is Us’ FYC event

With a series of hit-and-miss looks lately, Mandy Moore has continued an experimental style phase with mixed results. However, at the ‘This Is Us’ FYC event on Monday (August 14) in Hollywood, she took a step towards the graceful femininity we know and love with a Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 gown.

The bold, burnt-orange colour was radiant on her, with the romance of the sheer lace adding a layer of subtle allure.

The placement of the four small pockets is questionable, as is the choice of the peachy-nude hue of her Santoni patent leather pumps. Why not an orange tonal sandal, I ask.

But, her Irene Neuwirth earrings and artfully patterned box clutch were right on point.

Fan Bingbing In Valentino – Valentino’s ‘I Love Spike’ Beijing Exhibition

Our favourite girl, Fan Bingbing was back on the red carpet for Valentino’s ‘I Love Spike’ exhibition in Beijing on Wednesday (August 9), making yet another unforgettable entrance.

The shirt-style Valentino Fall 2017 dress, which drapes like a dream; oozes plenty of feminine elegance and charm.

It appears low-impact, yet striking, plus we have to give her kudos for not killing the look with platform shoes.

Some might say she looks washed out, but I love how this lilac hue complements her skin tone, plus her red lip works well to counter such issue.

Kaitlyn Dever In Valentino – ‘Detroit’ LA Screening

Kaitlyn Dever attended a special screening of ‘Detroit’ on Thursday (August 3) in Los Angeles, California.

While I felt her Prada gown was a little too much for her, this Valentino Resort 2018 ethereal and romantic floral print gown suits her delicate sensibilities.

I love how necktie lends boho-chic charm and how the styling is keep simple and effortless.

Camilla Belle In Valentino – Avant Garden Gala

Camilla Belle joined Zoe Saldana for the ‘Avant Garden’ event on Saturday (July 29), hosted by Valentino in Santa Barbara, California.

Like Zoe, Camilla selected a look from the Valentino Fall 2017 collection which was captivating due to its intricate embroidery.

This look masters contemporary romanticism at its finest, which she complements with copper metallic sandals, John Hardy jewels and a white Edie Parker clutch.

I remember when some of you grew tired of Camilla’s numerous red carpet. But never grow tired of her impeccable sense of style.

Zoe Saldana In Valentino – Avant Garden Gala

With a bohemian-mod ode to garden-party style, Zoe Saldana had quite the apropos look for the ‘Avant Garden’ event on Saturday (July 29), hosted by Valentino in Santa Barbara, California.

The Valentino Fall 2017 collection took much inspiration from the Memphis Group movement, and that jazzy, pop-art influence was seen all over her colourful dress that featured a patchwork of hands, numerals, and other geometric objets.

Despite the quirk of the motifs, the design’s simple, loose silhouette maintained an easy elegance that kept the look on strong footing for such an outdoor soiree.

It was a nice change of pace from the expected garden florals blooming across a frock. Would you agree?
