Cate Blanchett In Valentino - Trophée Chopard

Cate Blanchett attended the Trophée Chopard event held this evening (May 15) during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

A Cate Blanchett red carpet appearance is always special, but the excitement increases 10-fold during Cannes.

This was especially true when she graced the red carpet looking divine wearing a grey Valentino Pre-Fall 2014 sheer gown with silver metallic floral lace embroidery, feathered short sleeves and matching collar style with Chopard jewels.

I had bookmarked this for Keira Knightley, but Cate should’ve been at the forefront of my mind.

Understated opulence at its very finest.

Does this top her Ralph Lauren look?

Angelababy In Valentino - 21st Beijing College Student Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Feng Shaofeng and Angelababy attended the closing ceremony of the 21st Beijing College Student Film Festival in Beijing, China on Saturday (May 10).

Opting for a low-key look, the actress wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2014 grey leather dress with lace inserts and sheer sleeves, topped off with the signature multi-coloured feathered collar of the season.

Leather and lace has always been a winning combination for Valentino; however, I’m not 100% sold on the colour.

The look would’ve been improved had she worn the feather-print shoes we’ve seen on Emma Stone, but I guess she opted for nude so her look didn’t feel too Fall-like.

Karlie Kloss In Valentino - ‘Grace of Monaco’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Karlie Kloss took to the red carpet for the ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere, which also served as the opening ceremony of the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in France.

The model has a great runway walk, but her red carpet game has never impressed me.

Case in point, she’s aged by this Valentino Spring 2014 tri-colour lace gown by several years.

Just because it’s sheer, doesn’t make it sexy.

File this under ‘What were you thinking?’ and quite possibly WDOTN.

Chopard Green Carpet Collection jewels and flat sandals completed her look.

Katy Perry ValentinoKaty Perry recently paraded out a trio of colourful designer looks, launching her Prismatic World Tour in Belfast, Ireland on Wednesday (May 7) on nothing short of a vibrant note.

Look 1: Flaunting cotton candy-hued hair, the songstress channeled her inner flower-child in a Valentino Haute Couture dress and cape, designed especially for her by Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. A rather whimsical creation, the fluttery tulle gown is embellished with butterfly wing inserts on the bodice and flying butterflies on the skirt, while the cape added to the fanciful flair, as it was embroidered with nacre micro sequins and lined with a multi-colour organza butterfly. A sunflower-adorned microphone stand and glittery flower guitar only enhanced the free-spirited mood.
