Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Best Dressed Of The Week - Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé & Eddie Redmayne In Tom Ford

Even though Miss Nina Dobrev gave her a good fight, Queen Cate Blanchett won the majority of your votes for Best Dressed this week.

Cate and Armani Privé has always been a winning combination, and her red dress, which she wore to the AACTA Awards, was no different.

When it came to the menswear poll, that was equally predictable as the no one was able to outdo Eddie Redmayne in his chambray Tom Ford suit.

Until Ryan Gosling and Andrew Garfield come back to the red carpet, methinks Eddie will continue to dominate this poll with his snazzy style and ability to pick a suit outside of the black, grey and navy colour palette favoured by most.

Jude Law In Tom Ford - ‘Side Effects’ New York Premiere

Jude Law joined his A-list co-stars on the red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square yesterday evening for the ‘Side Effects’ New York premiere.

Opting for a light-grey Tom Ford suit, the British actor styled it with a black textured tie, white dress shirt and black leather Tom Ford shoes.

The Lewisham lad might be reluctant to accept his sex-symbol tag but I’m sure many of you will think it is very well deserved.

While I have never shared the hype surrounding Jude Law, the colour is refreshing and the overall look is much improved from the last time I featured him.

Eddie Redmayne In Tom Ford - 28th Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Virtuoso Award Ceremony

Eddie Redmayne took his sharp style to the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California yesterday for the 28th Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Virtuoso Award Ceremony.

Many of you gave the thumbs down to Eddie’s Hugo Boss brown suit at the 2013 SAG Awards, but I’m pretty certain he will get back in your good graces swiftly with this Tom Ford Spring 2013 suit.

His two-piece blue chambray suit was styled with a blue-and-white gingham shirt which complemented his pocket square.

My favourite Eddie look was the Alexander McQueen suit he wore to the ‘Les Mis’ New York premiere, but this ranks a very close second.

I constantly admire his wide range of suits, which he styles so handsomely.

Singlehandedly, he is keeping me interested in menswear.

2013 SAG Awards Menswear Round UpWith gowns galore parading down awards-gala red carpets, it’s always hard to focus on the tuxes—no matter how handsome they and their inhabitants are. But at the 2013 SAG Awards, hosted last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, the men had their moment. Like many of the girls, some of the guys played with color—albeit to mixed success. But it all made for a far more entertaining and colorful show.

Eddie Redmayne: The ‘Les Miserables’ star continues to deliver great red-carpet performances. The British actor carried off a slimly tailored tuxedo by BOSS Black, rendered in a luxe brown, crushed velvet. He paired it with a white shirt and matching dress shoes from the label. In a sea of black and blue, this delicious chocolate color was a smooth statement—so was Eddie’s cool-boy coif.

Bradley Cooper: The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor and nominee chose Tom Ford for his big night. The midnight navy color of his single-breasted tux, featuring a black satin shawl collar, reminded me of some of the similarly colored gowns seen last night, such as the one from Jennifer Lawrence. I wish his black bow tie didn’t appear crooked, throwing the polish of this look awry.

Cory Monteith: This ‘Glee’ cutie stepped outside the norm with his Calvin Klein tuxedo paired with a sleek set of black Christian Louboutin loafers. His cufflinks and tie bar were by Ox and Bull Trading Co. and his timepiece from Versace. The exaggerated peak lapel in black contrasted sharply with the light heather grey of the single-breasted jacket. But was Cory red-carpet-royalty or just prom-king ready?

Bradley Cooper In Ferragamo & Tom Ford - ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ Madrid & Paris Premieres

After the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, Bradley Cooper continued his promotional efforts for ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.

He travelled to Europe, where he attended two premieres.

On Wednesday night, he greeted fans wrapped up warm wearing a black wool coat and grey Ralph Lauren scarf over his light-grey Ferragamo suit styled with brown oxford shoes.

The following day he headed to Paris, France, where we got a better look at his dapper Tom Ford warm-brown three-piece suit with a textured tie, dove-grey shirt the same brown shoes he wore previously.

Only 18 days into the new year, Bradley has definitely grabbed my attention, not just because of his piercing blue eyes, day-old stubble and gorgeous grin, but also because of this choice of sharply tailored suits, which he manages to keep varied and interesting.

Golden Globes Men 1The girls have been feted for their fashionable entrances and exits at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, hosted at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. But there were plenty of handsome guys on the red carpet, too. That said, most of the men played it safe, taking a rather traditional approach with tuxes, all tied up with a bow (tie).

Ben Affleck: Ben was definitely the evening’s Golden boy, as he snagged the Best Director and Best Picture win for ‘Argo’—and he dressed for his double victory. His midnight blue peak lapel tuxedo from Gucci was a handsome three-piece affair, especially with the matching satin bow tie. The blue spin on the traditional tux won me over. Even his perfectly groomed facial hair wasn’t bothersome; it only added a sense of refined depth to the look.

Bradley Cooper: The Best Actor nominee for ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ went green for the red carpet with his well-tailored, black Tom Ford two-piece tux, a part of the sustainable Green Carpet Challenge. A pert bow tie topped off the dapper look.

Robert Pattinson:  This ‘Twilight’ heartthrob is all grown up. The British actor impressed with his slim Gucci black peak lapel ‘Signoria’ tuxedo with white dress shirt and black satin tie, matched to black leather lace-ups. It was the picture of formality, and Robert even exchanged his standard scruffiness for a clean-shaven look for the occasion.
