Cameron Silver In John Galliano & Tom Ford – The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

Cameron Silver In John Galliano & Tom Ford - The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

Cameron Silver, founder of vintage emporium Decades, which is loved by Hollywood’s A-listers, was one of the presenters at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London yesterday evening.

One of the presenters on the night, he didn’t fly all the way to London to be a wallflower, so he gave us two great looks – as we’ve come to expect.

Red Carpet: Dressed in John Galliano trench with a black Tom Ford bow tie, white Hermès Sur Mesure shirt, black Gaultier Couture pants and Bruno Magli pony skin slippers, I was surprised to see Cameron, by his standards, looking fairly conservative, but of course there was a twist with these bright red socks. It’s a shame you can’t see the details including satin trims on this exquisitely well-tailored trench coat.

Presenting: Now this is more like the Cameron I know and love. He did a quick change into a vintage Tom Ford for Gucci lush velvet tuxedo jacket with beautiful embroidered details – this picture isn’t quite doing the piece justice. The purple Tom Ford bow tie and Alberto Moretti slippers top off the look perfectly.

From 6pm – 8pm you can meet Cameron this evening, who will be signing his new book, ‘Decades: A Century of Fashion‘, at Selfridges, London in Women on 2.

The book showcases the past 100 years of fashion, decade by decade. Each chapter opens with a pair of women who epitomise rival hot trends, like the luminous Cheryl Tiegs versus the dark Bianca Jagger at Studio 54. The chapters close with a designer of the decade: think Chanel, YSL and Dior at their most fabulous.

Paloma Faith In Tom Ford – In Concert

Paloma Faith In Tom Ford – In Concert

Following her concerts in London and Liverpool in England this weekend, Paloma Faith performed at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester yesterday evening.

Doing what she does best – electrifying the stage – the British singer appears to have swapped her Dolce & Gabbana phase for a Tom Ford phase, donning her second look from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

Yesterday I featured her wearing an orange ‘Ka-Pow’ dress; this time she donned a black version with a double motif.

The theme for this tour is clearly colour, with hot-pink lips being the focus, and she appears to be outdoing her headwear with an even more elaborate fascinator than the last.

Paloma Faith In Tom Ford & Burberry Prorsum – In Concert

Paloma Faith In Tom Ford & Burberry Prorsum - In Concert

Paloma Faith donned two looks this weekend while performing in London and Liverpool.

London: Joined by the Guy Barker Orchestra at the Barbican on Saturday, even if you were in the cheap seats, there is no way you wouldn’t have been able to see Paloma from a distance. Between her flame-coloured updo, bright-pink lip colour and orange Tom Ford ‘Ka-Pow’ frock, I’m pretty sure you could see this brightly coloured look from Mars. I love that Paloma loves colour. For me she never disappoints. You may remember that Rita Wilson wore the black version of this frock to the London premiere of ‘Captain Phillips’ earlier this month.

Liverpool: On Sunday while performing at the Philharmonic Hall, Paloma wore a Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 black fitted creep dress with an elegant gold metal heart detail at the neckline. Even though she toned down her look, her striking hair – styled with a black fascinator – and red pout ensured that all eyes were firmly on her.

I can’t pick a favourite here, because I love the bold colourful Tom Ford equally as much as the elegant, ladylike Burberry frock. Both were styled effortlessly with plenty of Paloma pizazz.

Rita Wilson In Tom Ford – ‘Captain Phillips’ London Film Festival Premiere

Rita Wilson In Tom Ford - 'Captain Phillips' London Film Festival Premiere

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson attended the European premiere of ‘Captain Phillips’ on the opening night of the 57th BFI London Film Festival held at Odeon Leicester Square this evening.

Both wearing black, Tom opted for a classic tux, while Rita’s look had a bit more Ka-Pow.

Taking the Helen Mirren ‘dress-as-young-as-you-feel’ approach, the actress wore black Tom Ford Fall 2013 long sleeve gown with a striking multi-coloured ‘Flash! Bang! Wallop!’ sequin motif on the hip.

A simple ponytail and a black-and-white clutch completed her look.

I know many of you don’t share my enthusiasm for Rita’s red carpet style; so how does this one fare for you?

Anna Dello Russo @ Paris Fashion Week Part II

ADR 1

Fashion month wouldn’t be half as entertaining without Anna Dello Russo, so let’s catch up with our favourite fashion editor.

Christian Dior: Anna Dello Russo has been a fan of Fausto Puglisi long before the likes of Lily Collins and Bella Thorne fell for the designer’s charms. Once again she donned a Spring 2014 look fresh off the Milan runway, selecting a blue-and-black dress with a sculptured flared skirt with sequin palm-tree embellishments, styled with her favourite Tom Ford sandals.

Valentino: The quirk factor has been missing from Anna’s street-style repertoire for a few seasons – remember the season she loved wearing fruit on her head? Here her love for fancy hats returns, donning a black cap with Mickey Mouse ears with her Valentino Fall 2013 black-and-white look featuring Valentino black dress with a contrasting leather collar and cuffs with the Valentino patent-leather-and-suede T-bar pumps which are a favourite among the fashion set.

Celine: Having worn a top-to-toe Celine look last week, Anna selected another Pre-Fall 2013 look, donning a loose-fitted suit featuring a double-breasted blazer accented with gold buttons styled with black shoes with a gold-metal plate and her straw boater.

Givenchy: Anna jumped on the Bambi bandwagon at Givenchy. Like Lily Collins, she also opted to wear her sweater as a dress, adding a studded belt.

Ed Westwick In Zegna & Douglas Booth In Tom Ford – ‘Romeo & Juliet’ LA Premiere

Ed Westwick In Zegna & Douglas Booth In Tom Ford - 'Romeo & Juliet' LA Premiere

The ‘Romeo & Juliet’ LA premiere was attended by two handsome British actors.

Ed Westwick: The actor has always had a flair for wearing snazzy suits, so I was delighted to see him wearing this rich autumnal merlot Zegna two-button peaked-lapel suit styled with a brown tie, white shirt, white pocket square and brown lace-up shoes. Head to toe he totally nailed this look.

Douglas Booth: The handsome actor, who plays Romeo to Hailee Steinfeld’s Juliet in the movie, wore an equally if not more snazzy look than his fellow Brit actor. Douglas donned a Tom Ford Spring 2014 black two-button peaked-lapel suit with cool and quirky styling which included a black-and-white plaid shirt, grey-and-white dotted tie and black-and-white dotted pocket square. On paper it would sound like a lot, but instead of clashing they complement each other very well.

Who is my favourite here? It’s a tough one. I love the season-accurate hue of Ed’s suit, yet I’m bowled over by Douglas’ styling of his black suit.

Which one do you favour?
