Citymeals-on-Wheels 27th Annual Power Lunch for Women

On Friday, Citymeals-On-Wheels hosted its 27th annual Power Lunch for Women at The Plaza Hotel in New York City — and as is to be expected, the stars in attendance dressed the part of “ladies who lunch.”

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host chose a nude-coloured Roland Mouret sheath with a simple black bow-tie sash at the waist. While cut at the knee, her cap-sleeved number showed off ample cleavage via a low boxed-out neckline — it’s certainly a sexier daytime silhouette, but one that she pulled off without a hitch. A gold pendant necklace and embellished pumps completed the look.

Brooke Shields: Just two days after Victoria Beckham wore her own tri-colour Fall 2013 dress, Brooke Shields stepped out in the same exact frock across the pond, styling it with black pumps, a textured black clutch, and gold cuff. While I love the bright pattern, this dress wasn’t the most flattering choice.

Debra Messing: The actress stepped out in a long-sleeved black dress with silver-band details at the waist and bodice. Her futuristic fashion statement — or attempt at one — was accessorized with large earrings, black clutch, black heels, and a silver smokey eye.

Knee-length hems aside, these looks ran the gamut. Have a favourite, or is this power lunch a fashion miss?

2013AMA_ZoeSaldana

Zoe Saldana attended the 2013 American Music Awards, held on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The actress showed us a one-shoulder gown from the Roland Mouret Spring 2014 collection, debuting an asymmetrical, patchwork-print gown that was cut through with a boldly unexpected swath of sky-blue satin fabric on the side.

It was a mirror image that took to the runway, and Zoe carried off the complex look with a sense of effortless ease that many could hardly handle.

She completed her entrance with black Jimmy Choo ‘Desire’ ankle-strap sandals, along with sleek long locks and a deep smokey eye.

Karlie Kloss In Roland Mouret - American Museum Of Natural History’s 2013 Museum Gala

Showing no signs of jetlag, Karlie Kloss was back home in New York City yesterday evening to attend the 2013 Museum Gala following her trip to Madrid, Spain for the Coach store opening.

Turning to the master of the silhouette, her Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2013 gown leaves a lasting impression with its elegant, flawlessly lined lace top and a fluid silk-satin skirt featuring the designer’s signature folds and draped detailing.

I would’ve preferred sandals to pumps; however, the look is styled effortlessly, complementing the elegant nature of her gown.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Roland Mouret - CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Event

As you know Mary Elizabeth Winstead is one of my faves, as she always looks so pretty and polished.

The 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event, presented by theCorner.com, at the Chateau Marmont in California on Wednesday afternoon, was just another day in which she looked charming and delightful wearing a Roland Mouret ice-print long-sleeve frock from the designers Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Stepping out of her comfort-zone somewhat, she opted for edgy Rebecca Minkoff accessories including a ‘Coco’ clutch, which is the red studded version of the same clutch carried by Camilla Belle, and grey peep-toe, lace-up booties.

Her Pre-Fall look was met with a rich burgundy lip colour and wavy tresses.

Lupita Nyong'o In Roland Mouret - '12 Years A Slave' New York Film Festival Premiere

Lupita Nyong’o attended the premiere of ’12 Years A Slave’ during the 51st New York Film Festival held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

The actress once again showcased her love of colour, wearing a bright-blue Roland Mouret ‘Jasper’ dress featuring a V-neckline and fluted hem.

Opting for a dark-red lip, she added a box clutch, Kwiat jewels and conservative black patent pumps, which she’s quite fond of, for her red carpet look.
