Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Australian actress Emily Browning attended the 2011 Met Gala in New York City last night.

Despite her inability to look comfortable on the red carpet, she does make great choices.

She opted for a Marc Jacobs guipere lace dress from the Fall 2011 collection.

The Bordeaux lace cap sleeve dress with a high collar was styled with Sergio Rossi black patent slingbacks which feel too heavy for her look.

I think Emily would’ve been overwhelmed in a big tulle gown, so whilst I’m not crazy about this modified dress I’m glad she kept the look simple.

A red and black polka dot clutch completed her look.

Beyonce Knowles has been in Paris since last week taking in the attractions, but the singer was also in town to work.

She was spotted on the balcony of The Ritz Hotel posing for an upcoming issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The singer wore a Gucci Fall 2011 gown whilst giving her best diva pose for cameras.

The gorgeous silk chiffon floor-length halter gown features a bodice decorated with red peonies appliqués.

Courteney Cox attended An Evening With ‘Cougar Town’ held at The Television Arts & Sciences Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Hollywood yesterday.

The raven haired actress has been moving out of her comfort-zone of head-to-toe black recently.

On this occasion she wore a nude Marc Jacobs wool short sleeve dress from the Resort 2011 collection.

The scoop neck, short sleeved dress with tonal piping details was paired with black t-bar sandals, a gold watch and a large gold ring.

I don’t mind the black heels on this occasion as they don’t weigh down her look, but I wish the dress was more fitted around the waist.

Marc Jacobs showcased its Fall 2011 presentation at Shanghai Peace Hotel in China last week.

Three beautiful Asian stars donned some equally beautifully Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 frocks for the occasion.

You will instantly recognise Lynn Xiong’s Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 black and maroon asymmetrical crochet dress; because we fell in love with it the first time it was worn by Leighton Meester.

Lynn Xiong wore the runway strappy heels and a red Marc Jacobs Luisa python and suede shoulder bag which she carried as a clutch.

Zhang Jing Chu wore a beautiful Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 floral-print silk-chiffon dress. This look was my favourite out of the three.

It’s so feminine plus I love the floral embellished belt.

Ran Chen opted for a more casual Marc Jacobs striped dress which she paired with a Marc Jacobs Singapore leather clutch and Marc Jacobs flatforms with gold glitter embellishments.

New pieces from the Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection including Zhang Jing Chu’s floral dress, Lynn Xiong red bag and Heidi Klum’s Golden Globes gown, have been added to Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International today.

Honestly, I haven’t been move by any looks so far this week.

That changed the second I laid eyes on Iman who attended The Point Foundation’s 4th Annual Point Honors New York this week.

The woman who put ‘Super’ into Supermodel, arrived on the red carpet wearing a Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 dress.

She glowed (as she often does) wearing a brick-red satin asymmetrical dress with a flower accent on top of a velvet waistband.

On the runway, it’s beautiful. On Iman, it’s a knock-out of hyperventilating portions.

This woman consistently gives me goosebumps. Her perfection is only equaled by Dita von Teese and Cate Blancett.

Every time I see Iman I hear, “Lovin’ you, is easy cause you’re beautiful…”

Victoria Beckham had us lusting over her Marc Jacobs cropped leather forest green jacket when she was papped leaving her hotel in New York City last month.

Her jacket was paired with grey jeans and a dark grey top. The fashion designer accessorized with an Isabel Marant ethnic necklace, grey ankle boots, a black Celine clutch and a black beanie hat.

Last week Nicky Hilton was spotted out in LA wearing the same cropped jacket in red.

She also opted for a super casual approach teaming her jacket with a black tank top and navy leggings.

Black lace-up booties and a Proenza Schouler PS1 satchel which she carries everywhere completed her look.

Both wore their hair down and opted for aviator-style shades.

Victoria wins for me as I prefer her colour scheme and her accessories.

Victoria and Nicky’s Marc Jacobs cropped leather jacket is available in green from Barney’s, nude from Matches Fashion and khaki from S|sense.
