Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Round Up

All eyes have been on the femmes and the fashion shows lately, what with Spring 2014 runway presentations in full bloom. But there is a handful of guys that managed to steal a stare away from all that catwalk action.

Chris Hemsworth: Gracing Italy with his handsomeness, the actor attended the ‘Rush The Movie’ premiere in Rome last weekend at the Auditorium della Conciliazione. His navy Giorgio Armani suit, paired with a lighter-blue button-down shirt and slate-blue tie, really highlighted his own baby blues.

David Gandy: The hot British model brought his intense, steely stare to the ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ London Fashion Week closing party at Annabel’s in England on Tuesday. He had his own shades of grey moment in a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit, with a charcoal sport coat, matching tie and a black vest and trousers. The flash of a triangle pocket square accessorized the suave statement, whilst mahogany loafers provided the finishing contrast.

Hugh Jackman: The buff ‘X-Men’ star skipped the tie for his visit to the SiriusXM Studios in New York City yesterday. He was singing the blues in a tailored Louis Vuitton denim-look suit worn over a midnight-blue shirt. Do you like his more relaxed approach?

Daisy Lowe In Louis Vuitton - Benefit Cosmetics Store Launch

After her disastrous look at the GQ Awards, Daisy Lowe was back to her best at the launch of Benefit Cosmetics’ new Carnaby Street boutique in London yesterday evening.

Looking sexy without a hint of trashy, the model wore a Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 grey striped spaghetti-strap dress with a lace trim around the neckline and degrade sequins at the hem.

Accessorizing with LV items, she selected the popular ‘Dramatic’ sandals in pink and the ‘Bijou’ minaudière which continues to be a celeb favourite.

Toronto Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Throughout the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, the men have brought their own sartorial statements—from guy-glam and cool-stud to handsome-hunk.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor was brave and bold in a deep purple David Hart suit at the ‘Kill Your Darlings’ premiere, held at Roy Thomson Hall. Boasting polish and pizzazz, with a contrasting striped white-and-blue-grey button-down and a dark mini-polka-dot tie, this look was plum-perfect.

Jake Gyllenhaal: The handsome actor wore a velvety Burberry Tailoring three-piece suit at the ‘Prisoners’ premiere at Ryerson Theatre. Offsetting the dark shade, a baby-blue shirt and navy tie brought out Jake’s own baby blues, whilst faded brown shoes contributed a rugged edge.

Ewan McGregor: Sauntering around with his suave flair, Ewan took a more casual approach in his Neil Barrett black blazer and pants at the ‘August: Osage County’ premiere at Roy Thomson Hall. He skipped the tie and put on a pair of lace-up shoes that had a distinct creeper mentality.

Eve Hewson's Three Looks In One Day @ Toronto Film Festival

Eve Hewson, young starlet and daughter of Bono, also played a quick-change artist at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday in Canada. She trotted out a trendy trio of looks, switching from conservative to more cutting-edge along the way.

‘Enough Said’ Portraits: Posing at the Guess Portrait Studio, the actress put on the same Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 ensemble we recently saw on Fan Bingbing. That she didn’t wear a black wig or chunky-clunky platforms immediately improved this demure green, cashmere top and silk floral skirt. But I still wasn’t in love with the lacklustre styling.

‘Enough Said’ Premiere: Upping the sophisticated appeal, she matched a Stella McCartney embellished-collar top with a barely blush J. Mendel layered skirt at the premiere, hosted at The Elgin. A Louis Vuitton clutch fit right in, with crimson Casadei pumps providing a bold, unexpected way to finish the look. Red-haute or red-not?

Fox Searchlight TIFF party: At the event, held at Spice Route, Eve again opted for Stella McCartney, this time showing her style stripes in a black, dropped-waist Resort 2014 top and Pre-Fall 2013 skirt. A sleek, black Smythson envelope clutch accessorized the monochromatic look, although I was really applauding the magenta lippie, especially in the face of those plain black pumps.

2013 Style Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick look at some of the other attendees at the 2013 Style Awards hosted by Nicole Richie at the Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

Anna Cleveland: The model, who is always featured in Zac Posen’s look books and takes the runway at his shows, wore a stunning strapless gown from his Pre-Fall 2013 collection. The raspberry floral gown has a lot going on, but the reason why he loves her is because she makes even the most complicated look work.

Chanel Iman: Following her look at the Michael Kors event, I’m really disappointed by this Emilio Pucci white gown on the model as I find it to be totally lifeless; it does nothing for her. The only thing I feel when looking at this outfit is uncomfortable.

Lily Aldridge: She was also at the Michael Kors event and, unlike Chanel Iman, she kept the good vibes going wearing a Louis Vuitton 60s-style black sequin dress with white detailing, opting for extremely pointy bow-front LV pumps and glossy tresses.
