Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Hailee Steinfeld strikes a pose on the red carpet at Teen Vogue’s 10th Anniversary Young Hollywood Party in Beverly Hills, California, yesterday evening.

The young Hollywood star donned a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look.

She wore a two-tone navy-and-chocolate textured short-sleeve dress which she styled with blue satin platform sandals with a perspex heel and a bedazzled Louis Vuitton minaudiere.

The LV gold-plated collar isn’t really working for me, but it does add a youthful touch to this sombre dress.

Large wavy locks and barely there makeup completed her look.

On my VirginMedia TiVo box I currently have approximately 15 unwatched episodes of ‘Downtown Abbey’ I need to catch up on (I’m waiting for a quiet weekend), so I will do the same with Michelle Dockery’s style, as I am yet to feature her.

Starting with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s 2012 Emmy Awards Reception, the British actress wore a Stella McCartney floral dress, which is very Erdem-esque.

Black accessories would’ve been an easy option, but she opted to style the look with a Be&D ‘Kumamoto’ beige clutch and nude Christian Louboutin pumps.

Joining a whole host of stars on the red carpet at the Variety And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Event on Friday, Michelle opted for an Erdem ‘Ariel’ dress from the Fall 2012 collection.

The pink-and-black lace dress is the epitome of sophisticated uptown refinement.

Black pumps and a black-embroidered velvet clutch completed this look.

On Saturday she attended the BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea 2012 presented by BBC America in West Hollywood wearing a Nina Ricci silk crepe printed and embroidered tulle dress from the Resort 2013 collection.

I adore the styling with the retro updo, the cream Be&D clutch, contrasting orange leather pumps and coral lip shade.

Sadly, things grinded to a screaming halt on Sunday evening at the 2012 Emmy Awards.

I don’t like anything about her custom Louis Vuitton bustier satin gown with an organza yoke which was styled with a gold Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch.

In fact I am surprised this is custom-made as the fit is terrible, starting from the bodice and ending with the awkward length. The back peplum is also unflattering and don’t get me started on those creases.

After a short hiatus due to the Olympics, Nieves Alvarez was back this weekend to present the ninth program of her program ‘Solo Moda’.

Showing how both patterns and solids can be stunning and dramatic, she certain didn’t take her foot off the gas during the break.

Her first look was a Custo Barcelona Spring 2012 dress.

The long, centered slit, side cutouts and captivating pattern were not at all detracted from by the simple, elegant Christian Louboutin sandals Nieves paired with the look.

Stella McCartney’s take on a bodycon dress, made popular when Kate Winslet wore the same piece to the Venice Film Festival earlier this year, was the second look for the presenter.

Nieves paired the form fitting frock with a pair of Christian Louboutin printed ‘Pigalles,’ which gave the entire ensemble a refined, sophisticated air.

For her final look she donned a tweed Louis Vuitton jumpsuit and jacket, accessorizing with a coral pair of Christian Louboutin heels and Pandora earrings.

I adore this look for its playfulness and the complete wearability of the Louis Vuitton tweed.

Nieves wore jewels by Magerit throughout the entire program.

Which of Nieves’ three looks gets your vote for best of the day?

Nieves Alvarez’s first look for Solo Moda Show 8 looks more like a sexy negligee.

Do you think her black Louis Vuitton halter dress with cut-out details at the side should’ve been saved for the boudoir?

Blown-out waves, Yanes silver cuffs and Robert Clergerie over-the-knee boots completed her first look.

The host dialled down the sexiness wearing an Emilio Pucci Resort 2012 white lace dress with padded shoulders for look two. Never one to let us down in the shoe department, she added a pop of colour to her look via her teal Manolo Blahnik sandals.

Nieves’ final look was a Missoni Fall 2012 dress with the label’s signature chevron print. What makes this look special is the asymmetrical hemline and her lust-worthy Manolo Blahnik pink sandals.

A large Yanes cocktail ring and stunning drop earrings completed this look.

The Missoni is a clear favourite for me.

Poppy Delevigne donned her second Louis Vuitton Resort 2013 look yesterday evening for Louis Vuitton’s Paris-Shanghai extravaganza in China.

Her first look was a soft ethereal dress; this has a bit more bite.

The one-sleeve tri-colour embellished dress was the perfect party piece for this celebration.

She accessorized with the same LV white toe-cap heels and a Louis Vuitton tasselled minaudière from the day before, adding a bold dark lip colour and a purposely messy updo.

Poppy is used to sticking to a very typical ‘pretty-safe‘ look, so whilst I’m not crazy about her lip colour, I do appreciate her stepping out of her comfort zone with this whole look.

Having missed out on the Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 show in Paris, Alexa Chung was able to experience the show in Shanghai, China, during Louis Vuitton’s Paris-Shanghai extravaganza yesterday evening.

Opting for a cosy Pre-Fall 2012 look, the British TV presenter wore an olive-green Louis Vuitton sweater with a leather mini skirt which we’ve seen on Kristen Stewart.

I love her cute Louis Vuitton leopard beret, which is a typical quirky touch from the “style icon”.

A pretty pink lip colour, a classic monogrammed LV clutch and black suede Carven slingbacks with a bow accent at the back completed her Paris-Shanghai look.

Love? Or was the beret a step too far?
