Best Dressed Of The Week – Stana Katic in Carolina Herrera, Emma Stone In Lanvin and Emily Blunt In David Koma

BDOTW 12 Jan

Stana Katic in Carolina Herrera was the readers favourite this week, plus the lovely Emma Stone in Lanvin and Emily Blunt in David Koma were inseparable in the poll this week.

Your best dressed male was Chris Evans in a dressy casual Gucci look.

My favourites were Emily Blunt in David Koma and I would never bet against Chris Hemsworth, who looked dashing in Dolce & Gabbana.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone In Lanvin - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone took to the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

I was completely enamoured with the ‘Birdman’ star and Best Supporting Actress nominee’s ensemble, not the least because it was one of the more unexpected looks of the evening.

Her Lanvin jumpsuit was nothing if not impossibly cool, what with its sparkling silver, embellished bodice and mannish trousers, complete with a statement bow and train in the back—the perfect fusion between feminine and masculine styling.

She smartly kept her jewelry confined to a smattering of midi rings, as this Lanvin design was a jewel in and of itself.

Her flame-red, wavy bob and magenta lip are merely the icing on the cake of a delicious look.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’

Emma Stone In Lanvin - SAG Foundation Conversations 'Birdman'

Ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes, Emma Stone made her first appearance of the year at the SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’ held at The New School on Monday (January 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a two-piece Lanvin Pre-Fall 2015 look, with the coral and black A-line embroidered skirt very much the stand-out piece and the black knit top having its own touch of flare via the pink stone accents around the neckline.

I adore this look for its fairy-tale splendour and its mysterious charm.

For me, she can do no wrong.

Hillary Scott In Lanvin – 2014 American Country Countdown Awards

Hillary Scott In Lanvin - 2014 American Country Countdown Awards

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum attended the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards held at the Music City Center on Monday (December 15) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer opted for a sumptuous, siren-hued red Lanvin jersey dress with a scintillating V neckline and knotted detail defining her waist.

Styled with a black and gold clutch, this is one for Hillary’s Hall of Fame. I am captivated by this colour on her.

You may remember that Demi Lovato wore this same gown to the 2014 VMAs with a lot more cleavage, tonal styling and va-va-voom.

Paloma Faith In Lanvin – BBC Music Awards

Paloma Faith In Lanvin - BBC Music Awards

Paloma Faith attended the BBC Music Awards held at Earls Court Exhibition Centre on Thursday (December 11) in London, England.

Known for wearing Dolce after Dolce, the singer changed the habit of a lifetime to don this leather Lanvin Fall 2014 strapless dress accented with a military-style wide belt.

I love the styling of the look with touches of red, especially within her patterned pumps.

Usually sporting a blonde and flame-red hair combo, the singer has gone for a switch, opting just for blonde.

You may remember that Emma Stone wore this same Lanvin dress back in April while promoting the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro’, but hers was shorter length.

Emily Blunt In Lanvin – IWC Filmmakers Awards

Emily Blunt In Lanvin - IWC Filmmakers Awards
Emily Blunt attended the IWC Filmmaker Award Night 2014, held on day two of the 11th annual Dubai International Film Festival, at The One & Only Royal Mirage on Thursday (December 11) in Dubai.

Wearing an improved look over her first Dubai film fest outing the day before, the actress and IWC Ambassador donned a Lanvin Resort 2015 lace gown.

The rich emerald-green colour was striking, and the semi-sheer effect helped achieve a certain and much-needed lightness to the more bottom-heavy silhouette of the dress.

Matching gemstone earrings continued the monochromatic theme, with the requisite IWC watch rounding out the styling although perhaps not in the most ideal way.
