2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Party

Here is an quick roundup from the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which took place on Sunday (February 22).

Jane Fonda: The actress shows us that Zuhair Murad doesn’t always spell tacky. This Spring 2015 Couture jumpsuit is divine and she is working it like no other. Kudos to her. Jimmy Choo ‘Creole’ pumps and a Rauwolf clutch accessorized her look.

Regina King: This Nicolas Jebran gown won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love the artful colours on this design. I don’t, however, like the illusion neckline. Not close enough to her skin tone.

Leslie Mann: Like Naomi Watts, Leslie went the white suiting route, layering up with a selection of gold Neil Lane jewels the look probably didn’t really require so much of.

Naomi Watts In Giorgio Armani – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Naomi Watts In Giorgio Armani - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Naomi Watts wore her second look of the night while attending the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar party held at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Sticking with Armani, the actress harnessed the timeless distinction of the revered brand wearing a custom white tuxedo.

Ordinarily I would be fairly unmoved by such a look with so many gowns on display, but the sharp tailoring of the collarless blazer – with flap pockets acting like a peplum – makes this a stand-out look.

I love how the black Rauwolf clutch, Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and thin belt provide a sharp contrast.

If by now you have gown fatigue, this look should awaken your senses.

2015 BAFTAs Menswear Roundup

The tuxes were out in force at the 2015 BAFTAs, hosted at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 8). Here, a look at the fine fellows on the red carpet.

David Beckham
: The always-handsome Becks wore an impeccable midnight-blue suit, well tailored and popped with a white pocket square and perfect bow tie. I love the added dimension of the deep indigo shade. He just wears clothes so well.

Tom Hiddleston: Looking suave, the actor wore a slim-fitting Alexander McQueen black tuxedo with a white evening shirt and black bow tie. Black onyx skull cufflinks added some subtle fashion edge to his classic outing.

Luke Evans: Also opting for a midnight-blue suit, Luke’s was an Ermenegildo Zegna piece, jazzed up with contrast black lapels and a black bow tie. He could have likely seen his reflection in his hyper-polished, patent shoes, in which case it should have told him that his pants were a fraction too slouchy.

Iggy Azalea In Giorgio Armani – 2015 Grammy Awards

Iggy Azalea In Giorgio Armani - 2015 Grammy Awards

Iggy Azalea attended the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Aussie rapper won major points in my book simply by virtue of donning this bold shade of electric, cerulean blue.

Her custom Giorgio Armani, short-sleeved silk-crepe gown featured cutout detailing on the sides, shoulders and across the front of the gown. It was a striking look for the singer and fit her like a glove.

Bare-faced-inspired makeup and minimal accessories made the dress the main focal point. The same can’t be said for that crown of braids, which contributed an intriguing, medieval spin. I will be admiring this look from the forehead down.

Juliette Binoche In Schiaparelli Couture & Giorgio Armani – ‘Nobody Wants the Night’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Juliette Binoche In Giorgio Armani - 'Nobody Wants the Night' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Thursday saw the start of the 65th Berlinale (Berlin) Film Festival , where Juliette Binoche was present to promote her latest movie, ‘Nobody Wants the Night’ (Nadie quiere la noche), with both a photocall and premiere in Berlin, Germany, where the theme of the day was white.

Photocall: Her first look was a peak-lapel Schiaparelli Spring 2015 Couture suit with mannish proportions decorated with gold pins, which look like splatters of paint from afar. Expertly cut, this serves up a very refined look styled with nude peep-toes.

Premiere: Opting for yet another clean-lined design, her second suiting option by Giorgio Armani serves up plenty of feminine flair. Timelessly elegant in a faux-wrap design, this look truly embodies the powerful aesthetics of the brand, taking her style to a new level of Italian panache.

I really enjoyed the masculine–feminine play here. Both looks are very refined. Even with the creases, the Schiaparelli photocall look is my favourite here.
