‘Magic Mike XXL’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

'Magic Mike XXL' Menswear Roundup

We’ve focused on the likes of Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Elizabeth Banks, but ‘Magic Mike XXL’ is all about the fellas.

Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez and Kevin Nash sadly didn’t go topless on the red carpet, but they did scrub up well for the LA premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (June 25) in Hollywood, California.

Channing Tatum: While Channing would rather be wearing jeans and a cap worn backwards, he always looks mighty fine in a suit. In this case it was a Tom Ford suit.

Joe Manganiello: Brown isn’t a colour that always translates on the red carpet, but it’s a colour Joe has been favouring of late. You’ll get no complaints from me when he looks this good wearing an inch perfect Made to Measure Ermenegildo Zegna head-to-toe look.

Matt Bomer: The actor, who was announced as the face of Giorgio Armani’s Made to Measure line this week, showed why he is the perfect fit for the brand wearing a sleek Giorgio Armani navy blue suit which redefines formal styling with polished panache.

2015 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The beauties at the 2015 Tony Awards, hosted on Sunday night (June 7) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, brought no shortage of sartorial drama with bold hues and glamorous style. Here, a look at more of the entrances on the red carpet.

Helen Mirren: Elegant as always, the actress wore a Badgley Mischka lace-embellished gown with Fred Leighton jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch. The wedding aisle would have been another appropriate venue for this dress.

Debra Messing: Although her Zac Posen dress was short, it delivered on the drama by virtue of the saturated violet hue that was especially striking with her auburn locks. While I normally find the matchy-matchy angle tiring, the tonal Judith Leiber clutch, sandals, and jewels all work in her favour here to create a streamlined, regal effect.

While tasteless was the dominant trend at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night (May 17), I was grateful to see that a few good men brought some class back to the show. Here, a look at some of the Billboard styles plus a look at the latest round of gentleman at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Matthew McConaughey: His terribly scruffy beard had no place this glossy Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit at ‘The Sea of Trees’ premiere, which he attended with Naomi Watts during the Cannes Film Fest on Saturday (May 16). The nightshade hue of his jacket was divine though. Will the facial hair ever meet a razor.

Nick Jonas
: Also rocking an inspiring eggplant shade, Nick looked mighty fine in his monochromatic Kenzo suit at the Billboard Music Awards, although the pants could have been less slouchy and rumpled. His plus one, Olivia Culpo, was among the girls in sparkly, skin-baring attire, hers a black Elie Saab playsuit that still ranked as more tasteful than some of the other sartorial tragedies of the night.

Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

Giorgio Armani's 40th Anniversary Celebration

A glorious guest list attended Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Silos Opening and Cocktail Reception on Thursday (April 30) in Milan, Italy. With Armani ensembles at every turn, sleekness and chicness were the order of the day.

Cate Blanchett: The queen again reigned supreme in this stunning Armani Privé Spring 2015 cream suit architecturally punctuated by a black obi-style sash. Radiantly luminous makeup and a softly swept-back ’do projected even more beauty on top of elegance here.

Chris Pine: I loved the sense of ease that characterized Chris’s polished Giorgio Armani gray suit with lavender shirt and dark tie. That he appears to be wearing his loafers sans socks only contributes to the effortlessly handsome look on this occasion.

Hilary Swank: Her sculptural, asymmetric Armani Privé Fall 2014 cocktail dress was a work of art with red floral embroidery and netted overlay for a ladylike yet bold statement.

2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Plenty more PYTs were spotted on the orange carpet at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards at The Forum on Saturday (March 28) in Inglewood, California, each rocking their own interpretation of the youthful, fun dress code.

Willow Shields: Currently on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ the starlet traded the sequins and sparkle for a Self-Portrait Resort 2015 asymmetrical crop top with matching culottes in a striking, graphic square print. I love the directional shaping of this look—and that she accented the black-and-white ensemble with deep plum-coloured heels and clutch, which elevated it to the next level. Sideswept waves softened the stronger edge for a flirty finish.

Quvenzhane Wallis
: As the face of Armani Junior’s Spring/Summer 2015 advertising campaign, the starlet represented the brand well in an Armani Junior white cotton pique, sleeveless dress and matching jacket with pink and pastel-green detailing. Worn with white platform sneakers, the look struck a balance between sporty and girly styling, which she topped off with a high bun and matching pink lippie.

Debby Ryan: Debuting a majorly new mane, the actress swapped her signature flame-red locks for light lavender-gray strands. Adding to the colour story, she wore a Sachin & Babi Noir multihued, flirty frock with sheer detailing paired with a complementary Edie Parker ‘Lara’ clutch and sky-blue pumps. I could have done without the nose ring, but I actually love this bright, bold look from Debby—even if her hair completely has thrown me for a loop.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Diane Kruger In Donna Karan Atelier & Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture

BDOTW 2 march

Red was the colour of the week as the majority of our favourites donned the colour on Oscar night.

Emma Stone’s 100% record of winning best dressed polls was finally broken by the one and only Diane Kruger, who took our breath away in a crimson Donna Karan Atelier jumpsuit.

After a truly lacklustre awards season, Rosamund Pike finally gave us something to smile about on Oscar night, wearing a stunning Givenchy Couture gown. Had she been an Olympic hurdler, this would’ve been her jumping the final hurdle before crossing the finishing line having knocked over all of the previous hurdles.

With Eddie Redmayne suppressing his love for colour and patterns this awards season, my favourite by far was David Oyelowo for standing out in his bold red Dolce & Gabbana, while you went for the classic elegance of the dashing Chris Pine.
