2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards took place on Tuesday (June 6) in London. The event attracted some famous faces in fashionable ensembles.

Dua Lipa: The singer definitely got the ‘glamour’ memo judging by her Stella McCartney Fall 2017 cut-out gown. It was one of the few sultry after-dark looks we saw at this event.

Emily Berrington: Emilio Pucci’s dress seems inspired by paisley print. The unusual design features panelling, print, and a cut-out. Whilst this look is commendable for playing with shape, it’s confusing and overworked.

Rashida Jones: Amongst the sea of florals and neutrals, this Erdem Pre-Fall 2017 dress did stand out. I love the intricate detailing on the neckline which adds some softness to this look. The silhouette seems somewhat unflattering, however. I also wish the ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress has opted for more daring styling choices to amplify this look.

2017 amfAR Gala Cannes Model Roundup

The models were out in force for the amfAR Gala Cannes on Thursday (May 25) during the Cannes Film Festival.

Elsa Hosk: Striking a pose with a distinct pink, pinup mood, this Ermanno Scervino Fall 2017 gown had all the hallmarks of boudoir dressing with the exposed corset and sheer lace—distracting black heels notwithstanding.

Bianca Balti: What’s this? A model not baring it all? Bianca went for a more conservative stance in a Dolce & Gabbana black gown that oozed of old Hollywood glamour when styled with finger waves, statement jewels, and Gianvito Rossi shoes.

Joan Smalls: Between the length, the ubiquitous slit, and the collar-style neck piece, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and gigantic hoop earrings. Hip-hop, tribal glam?

Cannes Fashion For Relief

The Fashion for Relief gala and runway show event was held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 21), with attendees turning up the volume on their own fashion statements for the evening.

Naomi Campbell: Before gracing the runway at the event, the supermodel stunned in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 gown with Santoni sandals and Bulgari jewels. The slithery, slit-to-there was Naomi’s version of a Grecian goddess look; I loved the movement of the diaphanous skirt and the shimmer of the knotted overlay that infused the look with an intriguing edge.

Uma Thurman: After her questionable last look, Uma redeemed herself a bit in this Atelier Versace embellished number styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. However, am I alone in thinking the dress felt a bit dated?

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan
: I have a feeling that this Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress was far more beautifully perceived in person with its tonal embroidery and lace underskirt. Its pristine-white polish is what kept me most interested.

Lewis Hamilton
: The British race car driver didn’t leave his sporty edge at home, bringing it to Cannes with this Gucci ‘Bee’ bomber jacket.

‘Ismael’s Ghosts’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

More stars took to the red carpet for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony and premiere of ‘Ismael’s Ghosts (Les Fantomes d’Ismael)’ on Wednesday (May 17).

Lily-Rose Depp: Her creamy-white Chanel dress had something of a Grecian goddess vibe. She embraced the embellishment by styling the look with gold Chanel Fine Jewelry and Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Like Robin Wright, Charlotte dared to go short in a Saint Laurent silver-studded mini. Was it a chic, fun look? Sure. Was it right for opening night? I’m not convinced.

Eva Herzigova: More metallic came out to play in Eva’s Roberto Cavalli Couture gold-flecked gown that was a stunning way to see the designer represented at Cannes. A Roberto Cavalli Spring 2017 antique gold leather clutch, Roberto Cavalli Resort 2018 platinum sandals and Chopard jewels completed the dazzling look.

Rita Ora In Ermanno Scervino & Cyclas – Live with Kelly

Rita Ora was pretty in pink for her ‘Live with Kelly’ co-hosting appearance on Monday (February 6), where she also discussed her ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ role.

There was nothing dark about her Ermanno Scervino Spring 2017 frock, though, as the confection boasted of a delicate lightness of form.

It’s lovely to see Rita showing her softer side in this hyper-feminine outing.

Lest it get too sugary, she cut through the sweet vibe with a Cyclas Spring 2017 winter-white coat that topped off the look with a sophisticated finish.

Amanda Holden In Ermanno Scervino – ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Blackpool Auditions

Amanda Holden was at the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Blackpool auditions on Wednesday (January 18) in London.

As one of the show’s judges, she wore an Ermanno Scervino Fall 2016 bow-accented jumpsuit with Annoushka jewellery.

Despite its covered-up silhouette, the one-piece left little to the imagination with its overly snug silhouette that was only amplified given its creamy white colour. Had this been a darker hue, it would have likely been less apparent.

That said, the look would have been more flattering in a fit tailored to Amanda along with some form of a belt at the waist, as originally presented.
