Paloma Faith In Armani Privé, Giles & Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 BRIT Awards

Paloma Faith In Armani Privé 2015 BRIT Awards

It was a busy night for Paloma Faith, who attended the 2015 BRIT Awards held at the O2 Arena on Wednesday (February 25) in London, England.

Following the red carpet, she gave us a moving rain-soaked performance before collecting her award for ‘Best British Female Artist’.

Here is a rundown of her three looks.

Red Carpet: Despite this look being a re-run, I loved seeing this Armani Privé Fall 2014 tulle bustier dress with red polka dots and black veil net with small raised red chenille decorations on the red carpet once again. I’m still in awe of how elegant and refined the look is. Paloma does it justice, toning down her theatrics for a sleek hairstyle and bold red lip. You may remember that Rocio Munoz Morales wore this same dress during Sanremo 2015.

2015 Oscars & Vanity Fair Party Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Oscar men

The men were out in force at the 2015 Oscars and the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where there was plenty of handsome inspiration to go around from a fine group of fellows.

Jared Leto: Getting the evening started on a non-traditional note, the actor and musician was every bit the unorthodox Academy Awards dresser in his baby-blue Givenchy tux, accented by a white bowtie and white lug sole shoes. He let his hair down literally and made no excuses for it, saying that the Oscars was his going-away party for his locks. I wonder if the beard was also included in that party. While no one could pull this off like Jared, between the mane and the male pastels, this was verging on almost too much too handle.

Chris Pine: A stark contrast to Jared, Chris went for the all-out traditionally classic route and suited up in a Giorgio Armani black double-breasted peak-lapel tuxedo. It was impeccable and goes to show what transformative power a well-tailored tux can have.

David Oyelowo: Looking as if he was inspired by the red carpet itself, the ‘Selma’ actor dressed to impress in a crimson Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo word with #TackleEbola handcrafted pin by Jason of Beverly Hills. He does a great job pulling off this colour, yet I’m not completely sold on the satiny look of the vest and bowtie underneath.

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Party

Here is an quick roundup from the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which took place on Sunday (February 22).

Jane Fonda: The actress shows us that Zuhair Murad doesn’t always spell tacky. This Spring 2015 Couture jumpsuit is divine and she is working it like no other. Kudos to her. Jimmy Choo ‘Creole’ pumps and a Rauwolf clutch accessorized her look.

Regina King: This Nicolas Jebran gown won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love the artful colours on this design. I don’t, however, like the illusion neckline. Not close enough to her skin tone.

Leslie Mann: Like Naomi Watts, Leslie went the white suiting route, layering up with a selection of gold Neil Lane jewels the look probably didn’t really require so much of.

Bee Shaffer In Dolce & Gabbana and Anna Wintour In John Galliano for Maison Margiela – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Graydon Carter - Arrivals

Bee Shaffer and Anna Wintour attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

With London Fashion Week and the Oscars clashing for the first time, Anna picked fashion’s biggest night, missing the Burberry Prorsum show for the first time.

Bee Shaffer: Sticking to her favourite Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana, Bee usually does a big ball gown but this floral-print was striking enough with a rich mix of contrasting hues.

Anna Wintour: The editor-in-chief of American Vogue wore a beautiful lavender fog haute couture gown created especially for her by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. She has been a great supporter of the designer before and during his comeback and he repays the favour in this beautifully feminine exquisite creation.

Michelle Monaghan In Dolce & Gabbana – 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Michelle Monaghan In Dolce & Gabbana - 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Michelle Monaghan attended the 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (February 17) in Beverly Hills, California.

This Dolce & Gababana romantic black lace gown screams Dita Von Teese, Eva Herzigova or Monica Bellucci, yet Michelle pulls off this grandiose design with great aplomb.

I find this to be a refreshing look for Michelle. The dramatic nature of the design is worthy, if not perfect, of a costume designers event wouldn’t you agree?

It would’ve been easy to get lost or overwhelmed by those sleeves, but with her confident poise, simple styling and graceful charm, no such issue existed.

Shimmering copper eyes, a simple ponytail, emerald earrings, Jimmy Choo shoes and Bottega Veneta clutch rounded out her look.
