Christian Siriano Celebrates The Release Of His Book ‘Dresses To Dream About’

Designer Christian Siriano celebrated the release of his book ‘Dresses To Dream About’ on Wednesday (November 8) in New York City, with his fashionable fan club in attendance.

Coco Rocha: This Christian Siriano dress may have been monochromatic, but the creamy design was far from boring. It directly tapped into Coco’s flair for the dramatic with the ruffle motif and peplum waist—all topped off with a spirited hat that was within the model’s wheelhouse, even if I could have done without it.

Drew Barrymore: Part of me would have loved to have seen this happily vibrant pink, floral Christian Siriano frock on its own accord without the blue coat and chunky magenta platforms.

Christina Hendricks: Putting the power of an LBD look to work for her, she donned this Christian Siriano design that featured extra flair in the shimmering, zipper top and caped sleeves. I know the choice of plain pumps will leave many quite uninspired, though.

Jenna Dewan Tatum In Christian Siriano -‘War Dog: A Soldiers Best Friend’ LA Premiere

Jenna Dewan Tatum joined her husband Channing Tatum for the HBO premiere of ‘War Dog: A Soldiers Best Friend’ on Monday (November 6) in Los Angeles, California.

Classic in colour and silhouette, this flared black dress from Christian Siriano’s Resort 2018 makes a decadent statement when teamed with embellished Casadei pumps.

Some might view this as a safe choice by Jenna’s standards, but I view it as an very elegant one.

Anna Chlumsky In Christian Siriano – 2017 Metropolitan Opera Opening Night

Anna Chlumsky attended the 2017 Metropolitan Opera Opening Night on Monday (September 25) in New York City.

The ‘Veep’ actress looked stunning wearing a Christian Siriano peplum gown.

I love the structure and the broken glass effect of the sheer panels to ensure this piece possessed plenty of drama for the event.

My only wish is that the silver Tyler Ellis embellished clutch had been a bit smaller, or she hadn’t carried it at all.

Monica Vinader jewels completed her look.

Priyanka Chopra In Christian Siriano – Goalkeepers: The Global Goals Awards 2017

After a dashing appearance in white Balmain at the 2017 Emmy Awards, Priyanka Chopra donned the snowy shade again at the Goalkeepers: The Global Goals Awards 2017 on Tuesday (September 19) in New York.

Clad in a Christian Siriano Resort 2018 dress, the gown played up her shape thanks to the gathered shoulders and ruching at the waist. A knee-length slit offered some reprieve from all of the white.

Exaggerated shoulders have been worn by a few stars of late to varying degrees of success. I’m tempted to deflate these sleeves slightly, but what I would prefer is to see the dress in a different colour on Priyanka. The white gown has a lovely ethereal finish, but it’s missing the drama we see when the actress wears bolder jewel tones.

2017 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is our roundup from Sunday’s 2017 Emmy Awards.

Shannon Purser: I felt this was quite a magical, fairytale moment for Shannon. Her custom Sachin and Babi gown was simply breath-taking. Not only in colour, but also in design. The look was styled with Swarovski jewels.

Judith Light: Some might say this Christian Siriano gown is dated, but Judith brings so much energy to the look, that one can’t help but be left in awe.

Zendaya Coleman In Christian Siriano – Women Making History Awards

Zendaya joined Kerry Washington at the Women Making History Awards on Saturday (September 16) in Beverly Hills, California.

She flipped the style script again with this fresh-off-the-runway Christian Siriano Spring 2018 cutout design that offered a contemporary twist on vintage inspiration.

It takes someone with Zendaya’s height to pull off this pouf sleeve, horizontal striped dress, and she worked every angle of it to her advantage.

I have mixed feelings on the beehive, as the ’do tends to be ageing. But, I can understand its retro-mod purpose for this look.

Yay or nay?
