‘Girls’ Season Three Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more ladies who took to the red carpet joining Anna Wintour, Zosia Mamet, Allison Williams and Lena Dunham on the red carpet for the season three premiere of ‘Girls’ held at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Monday (January 6) in New York City.

Jemima Kirke: The actress who plays Jessa on the hit HBO show wore a one-of-a-kind vintage Geminola dress. There’s not a lot to like here. The dress is more like a negligee and the styling is a bit haphazard, to put it as kindly as I can.

Karen Elson: The model wore a Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2014 black crepe floral-caviar-beaded slip dress styled with black Mary Janes and a watermelon-pink lip colour. The shoes are meh, but I do like the dress; I wish she’d vamped up the look more.

Karlie Kloss: The model wore a Calvin Klein ivory georgette sleeveless zip-front belted dress from the Resort 2014 collection. The overall fit is too loose for my liking, especially in the upper regions of the look. I can’t say I’m particularly enamoured with the styling or the makeup.

It’s a triple meh from me.

Miley Cyrus In Vintage Calvin Klein & Vintage Issey Miyake - 'Britney Piece of Me' Opening Night

Miley Cyrus attended the opening of ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Friday, (December 27) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With her cropped hair at that awkward growing out stage (which is also in need of a touch up), the singer continued the 2013 summer crop top trend donning a makeup-stained vintage Calvin Klein gold long sleeve top worn with a black vintage Issey Miyake black suspender skirt, which she styled with plaid Versace Spring 2014 pumps, a selection of jewels and a glossy red lip.

Showing yet more support, for Britney she carried a Britney Spears backpack emblazoned with pictures of the singer as a teen.

For some reason I don’t hate it. She has the body to pull it off, plus the skin exposure is nothing we haven’t seen before.

Sexy or trying too hard? I find it fits in neither category, so I will let you decide.

Hollywood Reporter's 22nd annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast 3A list of lovelies gathered for The Hollywood Reporter’s 22nd annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast, honouring Oprah Winfrey, which was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California this morning.

Naya Rivera: The ‘Glee’ star was the epitome of sophistication in a black Michael Kors bodysuit and grey peplum tweed skirt that was punctuated with a long peplum; the sexiness came into play with the backless detail of her top. Marina B jewels and Casadei ankle-strap heels added some edge to her ensemble, whilst those long bombshell waves packed in plenty of va-va-voom style.

Ahna O’Reilly: Working a dizzying Osman Pre-Fall 2013 dress in a black-and-silver optical illusion print, the actress paired her look with black Bionda Castana ‘Consuelo’ ankle-tie heels, W. Britt stud earrings and a bright pink lip.

Nikki Reed: Taming the luscious lemon hue of her Charles Henry gown, Nikki threw on a black Loft blazer. What bothered me here were her black Greymer ankle boots that were far too heavy at the end of this soft, languid frock. Her look was complete with a Jimmy Choo ‘Chilli’ clutch.

Miley Cyrus In Calvin Klein - KIIS FM's Jingle Ball

Miley Cyrus attended KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Friday evening.

The singer, whose red carpet style has been questioned on more than one occasion recently, selected a Calvin Klein Collection Resort 2014 black suede halter top with a waist wrap detail and a black skirt.

Demure by her standards, she’s unlikely to offend on this occasion as she manages to find the right balance of looking like a sexy pop star without revealing too much or jumping feet-first into vulgar territory.

Black-and-gold strappy sandals, a red pout and subtle jewels completed the look.

Menswear 2 DecFrom movie premieres to the awards stage, the guys suited up over the past few days to hit the red carpet, impressing at every sartorial turn.

Orlando Bloom: Decked in a Lanvin Fall 2013 ensemble, Orlando attended ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ Los Angeles premiere on Monday. Although his navy one-button tuxedo with black grosgrain shawl collar and white cotton dress shirt with French cuffs and antique silver cuff links were formal, his tie-less approach and black patent-leather, cap-toe sneakers kicked this look into more casual-cool territory.

Idris Elba: At the ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ Paris premiere on Monday, Idris put his own spin on fifty shades of grey in a Dior Homme grey-checquered wool, notch-lapel two-button suit, paired with a black, cotton poplin shirt and a black silk tie. Grey loafers finished his outing; a nice departure from black.

Benedict Cumberbatch: The British actor strode out his dapper best at the ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ Los Angeles premiere. His Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo featured a luxe, deep mahogany velvet blazer with contrasting shawl lapel, worn with a charcoal-grey vest and tux-stripe pants and a pert black bow tie.

Shailene Woodley In Calvin Klein Collection - 23rd Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards

Shailene Woodley continued her love affair with the Calvin Klein Collection while attending the IFP’s 23rd Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The actress donned a white-mesh-and-black-snakeskin woven halter dress with frayed edges from the Spring 2014 collection.

I can’t say I am excited by the look, but it works for the actress’s minimalist no-fuss style. She wears the dress exceptionally well and the minimal accessories complement the look.
