Burberry Celebrates The Launch Of The DK88 Bag

Burberry-wearing beauties came out in force to celebrate the launch of the Burberry DK88 Bag, hosted by Christopher Bailey, at Burberry Soho on Tuesday (May 2) in New York City.

Ruby Rose: I always look forward to seeing what Ruby has to offer on the red carpet, and her dynamic style took another cool-girl turn with this Burberry ensemble. It was like fashion’s very own Oreo cookie, with the crisp precision of black, menswear-inspired tailoring enveloped by the rich creaminess of a dramatic ivory cape. I love the metallic finish the handbag brought to the look, too.

Ellie Goulding: Laden with rich, textural embellishment, this patterned Burberry frock was only in need of a sleeker updo.

Serena Williams: Serena continued her tip-top pregnancy style with a vamped-up, lacy Burberry wrap dress in which she defined her burgeoning bump with a snakeskin belt.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

Lily James In Burberry – 2017 Met Gala

Lily James did a good job of projecting her signature style while injecting a darker, mysterious edge at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

Her Burberry gown was another look which wowed from every angle; from the structure of the bodice and the sharp exaggerated hips to the architectural black bow at the back.

I really love the elegance of the look, but it’s the edgier makeup, slicked back hair and choker adding a twist to a classic look which really sells this look to me.

Ruby Rose In Burberry – 2017 Met Gala

Ruby Rose attended the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

The actress let her Burberry gown shine without accessorizing it with anything beyond her extensive tattoos.

Am I crazy, or is this gown just a little too run-of-the-mill for the Met Gala? I feel like on any other red carpet, I would look upon it much more favorably, but it is striking me as just a bit blasé here.

Maybe it just feels too demure against Ruby’s tattoo sleeves and endlessly cool hair?

I need your opinions! Yay or nay on this look, on this night?

Emma Watson In Burberry – ‘The Circle’ Tribeca Film Festival Screening

Emma Watson was back on the red carpet following her ‘Beauty and the Beast’ promo tour for ‘The Circle’ screening during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday (April 26) in New York City.

Looking at this Burberry gown, it should be a lesson to us all to never underestimates the power of a floor-length gown – especially one crafted from organic materials.

Yes, I’m one who loves colour, print and a cool and contemporary direction, but I can also appreciate simplicity, especially when done with such attention to detail as in this case.

With a youthful off-the-shoulder cut, this number scores extra points for seduction thanks to its front thigh-high split.

I can’t say I’m too crazy about the black sandals, but I do like the unexpected maroon hue of her Anya Hindmarch ‘Crisp Packet’ clutch styled with Monique Pean jewels.

2017 Humane Society Gala

The Humane Society’s annual ‘To the Rescue!’ gala was held on Saturday (April 22) in LA, with a group of animal-loving stars in attendance.

Laura Vandervoort: The epitome of chic, Laura showed off the glories of the LBD’s counterpart, the little white dress, in this Rhea Costa Pre-Fall 2017 design. I love the subtle drama of the split sleeves and how she frosted the minimalist look with the sophisticated flash of accessories including an embellished bronze Kate Spade New York clutch and Bionda Castana metallic shoes.

Elizabeth Banks: Girly springtime flair was alive and well in this pointillist pink Fendi dress styled with complementary Prada shoes. The racing stripes down the front and sides added a welcome edge to the sweetness of the ruffle skirt, keeping the look from going too sugary.

Rooney Mara: This Burberry Spring 2017 ensemble paired ladylike, doily lace with a menswear-inspired dress shirt. But, despite the fresh, creamy-white hue, the look not only seemed ill-fitted but also a bit drab and ageing on Rooney.
