Lily James In Burberry – Vogue Paris Foundation Dinner

It may be Paris Fashion Week, but Lily James was representing British fashion at the Vogue Paris Foundation dinner on Tuesday (July 4).

The ‘Baby Driver’ actress wore a custom Burberry metallic gown, embellished with beads and sequins.

Some might think this is a little too flashy for Lily, whose style usually favours gowns of the tulle frothy variety, but as we’ve seen in recent weeks her change in style has been quite refreshing.

The sparkly look was styled with Ana Khouri jewels and a Burberry DK88 bag.

Yes, the bag does feel way too daytime for this look, but methinks it was a car to red carpet piece rather than making up part of her final look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Keeping the red carpet hot, a few men were out and about on the promo circuit this past week.

Jamie Foxx: The actor was at the ‘Baby Driver’ London premiere on Wednesday (June 21), joining Eiza Gonzalez and Lily James at the event. There would be no denying his suave navy suit, worn in his effortlessly cool manner, as he carried the ironically named Privé Revaux ‘The Underdog’ shades—he is no underdog here.

Chadwick Boseman: For the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ show on Wednesday (June 21), Chadwick suited up in a Burberry Tailoring ensemble while Jimmy tried to get him to spill details on the ‘Avengers’ movie. The chambray-inspired look could have used a similar summer freshness in the tie, but all in all, he looked sharp.

Ansel Elgort: Also at the ‘Baby Driver’ London premiere, Ansel gave Jamie a run for his money in an impeccable Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 suit that featured the subtle, sophisticated touch of tonal piping at the lapels. Oxford lace-up shoes completed the sleekly urbane look.

Lily James In Burberry – ‘Baby Driver’ London Premiere

Lily James was back on the red carpet for the London premiere of ‘Baby Driver’ this evening (June 21).

The English actress wore a Burberry gown in a refreshing cool-blue hue.

Having showcased a more experimental side to her style lately, Lily was back to her classic best which should please the majority.

What I strangely love about this gown are the black straps which keep the look grounded and offers up a less serious mood.

I wasn’t immediately crazy about the embroidery from a far, but the close-up tells a less aging story.

Black sandals and De Beers Aura Drop earrings rounded out a not-so-princess, not-so-experimental look.

Cara Delevingne In Burberry – Save The Elephants Dinner

Cara Delevingne proved that the sheer dress trend is here to stay while attending the ‘Save the Elephants’ dinner in London, hosted by Doutzen Kroes and Lucy Yeomans on Monday (June 12).

The actress’s teal Burberry gown with ruffle details and a sheer tulle skirt which revealed her co-ordinating bodysuit, was toughened up with studded belt and strappy sandal, plus she sparked with gold Tiffany & Co jewellery.

Factor in the smoldering smoky eyes and her shaved buzz cut hairstyle and this look is oozing with plenty of punk rock girlish charm.

Are you buying this look, or is the bikini line on display for all to see too much to bear?

Kate Mara In Burberry & David Koma – Build Presents ‘Megan Leavey’ & The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Kate Mara was promoting her new film, ‘Megan Leavey’ in New York City following the premiere on Monday.

Build Presents ‘Megan Leavey’: While this Burberry lace dress may be a very familiar silhouette for Kate, I love the frills on the sleeves to amp up the ethereal elegance and the metal silver belt which adds an edge without taking away any of the primness. Some might find the pumps at bit boring, but I think they pull the look together nicely.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: I was pleasantly surprised to see Kate wearing this David Koma black dress with revealing cut-out detailing. Mostly because of the asymmetrical hemline which is way outside her wheelhouse, however, the styling was very familiar.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear starts to get interesting around this time of year as guys look for alternatives to the traditional black and navy as we move into the new season.

Dwyane Wade: The baller joined wife Gabrielle Union for the CFDA Fashion Awards wearing a Gucci Cruise 2017 black, red and green jacquard Heritage suit which looked very fly within  itself, but it’s the black velvet necklace with multicolored glass crystals and pearls, yellow socks and black leather monkstrap Gucci loafers which take this look to another level. It’s not often we see men elevate a outfit from the lookbook.

Joel Edgerton: Joining Riley Keough at the ‘It Comes At Night’ New York premiere the actor relaxed approach to tailored style came in the form of this Ermenegildo Zegna shades of burgundy, which was the epitome of smart-casual chic.

Rami Malek: The actor had the same approach for the ‘Mr. Robot’ Season 3 premiere event decked out in Burberry with Tod’s sneakers. Sometimes sneakers with a smart look can feel a bit try-hard – see Orlando Bloom – but they totally fit the relaxed mood of this look.

2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards took place on Tuesday (June 6) in London. The event attracted some famous faces in fashionable ensembles.

Dua Lipa: The singer definitely got the ‘glamour’ memo judging by her Stella McCartney Fall 2017 cut-out gown. It was one of the few sultry after-dark looks we saw at this event.

Emily Berrington: Emilio Pucci’s dress seems inspired by paisley print. The unusual design features panelling, print, and a cut-out. Whilst this look is commendable for playing with shape, it’s confusing and overworked.

Rashida Jones: Amongst the sea of florals and neutrals, this Erdem Pre-Fall 2017 dress did stand out. I love the intricate detailing on the neckline which adds some softness to this look. The silhouette seems somewhat unflattering, however. I also wish the ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress has opted for more daring styling choices to amplify this look.
